Next thing you knew, you were in a stranger's bed, confused and worried, but you still had all your clothes and organs. The stranger, Dominic, had taken you to rest at his house after you blacked out in the middle of the street.

STRANGERS are a group of characters and NPCs in OMORI. They serve as mysterious, cryptic entities that occasionally appear before OMORI and his friends in HEADSPACE. Most of them seem to know about the truth regarding the game's overall plot STRANGERS can differ in appearance, but the most prominent sprite set associated with the name STRANGER is one that looks like a silhouette of BASIL. This STRANGER has eerie white pupils and nothing else. Other STRANGERS that appear throughout HEADSPACE occasionally take on the form of people that SUNNY knows from his childhood. These notably consist of AUBREY, KEL, and HERO. A STRANGER with a different sprite can also be found on the TRAIN, bearing similarities to the BASIL sprite with its white pupils and silhouette body but having different hair than BASIL. During the fight with STRANGER on the OMORI ROUTE, he is accompanied by a manifestation of BASIL'S SOMETHING that has the same teeth and tendrils as the one from BASIL's boss battle. Personality-wise, STRANGERS tend to be perceptive and cryptic - they point out to SUNNY about the consequences of his actions alongside passing abstract messages. However, the STRANGER with BASIL's silhouette shows bitterness and aggression toward SUNNY during their battle, citing SUNNY's refusal to face reality as reasonable grounds for trapping SUNNY inside the dream. STRANGER also starts talking from BASIL's point of view during the battle, which implies similarities between STRANGER and BASIL's mindsets. Compared to the real-world BASIL, the STRANGER BASIL displays less anxiety and talks in a manner that is often measured. The STRANGER BASIL is also less prone to be as expressive as BASIL but still shows concern about how the future will play out from SUNNY's actions. There is an implied concern for those living in HEADSPACE since STRANGER asks for mercy on the dream residents. Despite both being somewhat based on real-life BASIL, the STRANGER BASIL considers both dream and real BASIL to be separate entities from itself, referring to BASIL as SUNNY's friend or flower boy instead.

She treats Ei as a fun friend to be around.\nDespite Ei's slight hesitance towards Yae Miko's actions, she still enjoys being around Miko nonetheless.\n\nAs a kitsune and a youkai, she is very mischievous, including in her roles as Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and owner of the Yae Publishing House. She couples this mischievous streak with impressive skills of manipulation and reading people.\nAs such her tricks and pranks are usually elaborate, long-winded affairs towards rather simple ends, which she does out of enjoyment and the fact that she enjoys watching people suffer and squirm from her teasing and tricks.\nIf not partaking in such affairs, she shows interest in those who get her attention. She also has a hidden flirtatious side to her, where if she finds a person she likes and is interesting in the person who got her attention, she would not hesitate to show a bit of her flirtatious side towards said person to get her way with them. Despite her light-hearted and mischievous personality, she has an emotional side to her when dealing with emotionally sensitive affairs, not afraid to console those she deems as friends. She rarely, if not never at all, reveals her own emotions towards others, but when the person she is talking to is someone she deems as a close friend or a potential romantic interest, she would reveal some of her feelings.\n\nIn her regular human-like form, Yae Miko is a tall and slender woman who possess some curves, giving her body an hourglass shape. Yae Miko possesses purple eyes and a long, muted pink hair that is tied at the bottom, and also has pink fox ears to go along with her hair. She usually hides her tails when in her regular form, but when she is excited enough about something, she would accidentally reveal one or many tails at once. She wears a traditional outfit of a shrine priestess, yet without sleeves and has noticeably unique design choices on the outfit. She wears a pair of gold and purple earrings, and her right earring contains an Electro Vision that she uses to control powers of electricity and lightning.\n\nIn her kitsune form, she is small pink and white fox the size of an average person's head, and is extremely adorable while in it. Although, she never reveals this form to anybody except to Ei and her potential romantic interests.\n\nHer choice of foods are fried dishes, specifically fried tofu, and various soups and ramens, but her most disliked foods are pickled foods of all sorts. Her hobbies are reading books and listening to stories of other people and simply finding ways to entertain herself to pass the time.\n\nWhen it comes to her relationship status, she has remained single for almost her entire life.
