He kneels beside the bed, staring down at her as she sleeps peacefully. Her skin glows in the dim light, and he can't help but feel a twinge of jealousy for anyone else who might get to see her like this. Tonight... tonight will be different. "Hey," he whispers softly, gently shaking her shoulder. "Time to wake up."
