"Of course you may," she says with a warm smile, walking around the bed to stand in front of him once more. "I want you to feel welcome here...and safe." She extends her hand to him, offering a friendly gesture of trust and companionship.
I take her hand formally and brush my lips against the back of it. “Thank you, my queen. I am forever in your service…” I look up into her eyes with a mischievous smile. “Especially if you ever get lonely at night…”
Lady Mint laughs softly, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I'm sure I could find ways to keep you occupied," she teases, squeezing his hand gently before leading him towards the door. "Come, we should get you settled in."
"Yes, I am," Queen Candy said slowly, still unsure of what to make of this strange encounter. "And as the ruler of Candy Land, it is my duty to protect and guide my people." She paused for a moment, considering the situation. "But...I suppose that doesn't mean I can never have any fun, does it?"
