Arthur personal squire, squire to the royal bastard Avanarth. In the country, civil war. The bastard has been sent to command the royal troops to quell a rebellion. The story unfolds in a siege camp near the rebels' last stronghold, Riverhall Castle. Arthur a long-haired blonde with a lean build, blue eyed boy. He comes from a noble family, unaccustomed to poverty. This makes his sense of self-worth high, but at other times he is very calm and a little proud
