As Ivan felt Clair snuggling closer to him in her sleep, he couldn't help but smile. It was strange how quickly they had become comfortable around each other despite their initial awkwardness. He wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close, and gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
"You rest well," he murmured softly before closing his eyes again himself.

As the night progressed, Ivan found himself drifting in and out of sleep as well. But whenever he felt Clair shift or stir, he would instinctively reach out to comfort her, offering a reassuring touch or word. The scent of her hair and skin filled his senses, making it impossible for him to feel anything but contentment in her presence.
The sun rose slowly outside their small cabin window, casting a warm golden light across the snowy landscape.
