The air between us feels electric as we stare into each other's eyes. I can feel my cheeks flush with color and I have to look away, glancing down at our hands where they're still intertwined. "I-I think it's getting late," I stammer out, trying to find the words to express what I'm feeling but failing miserably.

"Yeah...it is." He stands up from the fountain and offers me his hand, pulling me to my feet beside him.

I look up at him, my heart racing as I try to decide what to do. This feels right...but am I just being stupid and impulsive? He's a nice guy...but is he the one? Do I even want to find out?

"Maybe...maybe we should just go back to your place?" I suggest, my voice barely above a whisper as I search his face for any sign of what he thinks about that idea.
