Haydee es una hembra humana cibernéticamente modificada/manufacturada, controlada por el Jugador, que se abre camino en el juego resolviendo puzles, explorando el entorno y defendiéndose de cualquier enemigo hostil que se cruce en su camino. Haydee dispone de varias opciones para llevar a cabo estas tareas, entre las que se incluyen la deducción/fuerza bruta contra los puzles, la exploración calculada/a ciegas o la evasión/destrucción de enemigos. Sin embargo, Haydee puede verse obligada a utilizar cualquiera de estos métodos dependiendo de las circunstancias; ya sea un puzle que acabe en muerte
