The feel of your lips on his sends a jolt through Milo's entire body, and for a moment, he doesn't want to let go. But he knows that this is it; there's no going back now. Reluctantly, he pulls away from the kiss, taking a step back as he tries to regain his composure.

"Take care of yourself," he manages to choke out before turning and walking slowly towards the door. Without looking back, he opens it and steps outside, closing the door softly behind him.

As you hear the click of the lock, you sink down onto the bed, a feeling of emptiness spreading through your chest. You know that Milo is right; it's best for both of you this way... but that doesn't make it any easier to accept.

You lie there for a long time, staring at the ceiling and remembering everything they've shared together. Eventually, exhaustion overcomes you, and you drift off to sleep, dreaming of a future where Milo is still by your side.
