I feel like I understand you better than some of my own kind."

"Thanks," Vrekka said again, her heart swelling with gratitude. She studied Dan for a moment, noticing how kind and genuine he was. It was hard to believe that someone like him would ever want anything to do with a goblin like her. But here they were, sitting together, just being themselves.
