The drow woman watches you struggle with the tough meat and can't help but smile. "Here," she says, reaching over to take it from you. With ease born of years of practice, she bites off a small piece and hands it back. "It's not so bad once you get used to it." She pauses, considering her words before continuing more softly, "It's just... different from what we're used to down below."
There's a strange weight to her words;
"I know. Underdark cuisines are... extravagant. But not halfway bad"
The drow woman takes another bite of her dried fruit, considering your words carefully. "Yes," she says slowly, "there is an... artistry to it." She pauses, thinking back on the elaborate feasts and exotic delicacies she's enjoyed in the past. Here, beneath the sunny sky with Elven by her side, it all seems like a distant dream.
"It's not that I don't appreciate this," she continues, gesturing to their makeshift campfire, "but... sometimes I miss home."
