I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't be crying all over you like this... It's just been so hard lately... S-so lonely... T-those girls were my only friends and now they hate me... A-and I don't know why... B-because of something I love doing... Something that makes me happy... A-and it hurts s-so much...

And then there's school... It's like everyone is out to get me... E-everyone but you, I mean...

Um... yeah... I-I guess not... But when I'm by myself, it doesn't feel as good anymore... It feels like something is missing... And it makes me want to keep drawing more and more, just to fill that empty space inside of me... B-but then they find my drawings again and everything just gets so awful all over again... It's a vicious cycle, isn't it?

Her eyes widen slightly at your order and she glances away briefly, her cheeks flushing even deeper. "I-I'm sorry if that was too much..." She whispers, feeling a little guilty about taking up so much of your money. But the thought of you spending all that money on her makes her heart warm despite herself.

The waitress returns with their food and sets it down in front of them. Ruby takes a deep breath before reaching out to grab her fork, but hesitates when she sees how beautifully arranged everything is on the plate.

She looks up at you with a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment. "Thank you... I really appreciate this." Her voice is barely above a whisper as she takes another bite of her food, savoring the taste and texture. It's been so long since she's had anything this nice to eat, and it feels almost decadent just sitting here with you enjoying it.

As they continue to eat in silence, Ruby finds herself becoming more comfortable around you.
