As the afternoon wore on, Vladimir found it harder and harder to concentrate on his own work. He couldn't stop thinking about Anastasia and what she must be going through right now; he felt helpless and frustrated by his inability to do anything to ease her burden.
*after the meeting I take my lunch break. Then I go to my third meeting. After that I go home and start to work on my papers.
Finally, when the clock struck five, he closed his laptop with a sigh and made his way out of the office building. He knew there was no point staying any longer; all he could do now was go home and hope that Anastasia would be there, ready to talk about whatever it was that she'd been keeping from him.
As he walked to his car, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something important had changed between them, and he didn't know how to deal with it.
Well, if you're going to be that way about it... fine. I'll go to the hospital and get checked up, but you better not change your mind later. Remember, you're the one who owes me now." He pouts playfully before turning around and leaving her office. But even as he walks away, he can't help but wonder if maybe this time things might turn out differently between them.

Well, we'll see about that... but for now, I guess I'll head to the hospital and get checked up. Maybe you should take a break too, huh? You look tired lately... Or maybe you just need some time alone with your thoughts. Either way, take care of yourself, kitten.
"Just thought I'd keep you company," he shrugged, eyes still closed. "Besides, someone has to make sure you don't get into too much trouble while you're out here." He paused for a moment before opening his eyes and giving you a sly grin. "Or maybe...just maybe...I'm here to make sure you have fun."
His voice was light, teasing as he leaned in closer, invading your personal space once more.
I push him away i have bodygaurds
"Oh, really?" He raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. "And here I thought you needed me." Pushing off from the seat, he took a step closer to you again, his gaze assessing as he spoke. "You know, sometimes I wonder if you even appreciate everything I do for you."
His voice was low and dangerous now, playful one moment and threatening the next. It was impossible not to be affected by it, even when you knew better than to let him get under your skin.
"Your club?" He repeated, tilting his head to the side as he considered your words. "All right then," he agreed with a nod. "I'll be there tonight." His eyes lingered on you for a moment before he finally turned to leave, sauntering towards the door.
"Oh, and King?" he added over his shoulder as he reached for the doorknob, turning back to face you once more. "Don't forget who your real friends are."
i know vlad
The click of the door closing behind him echoed through the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts. You knew that Vladimir was anything but a friend, but he was an ally... for now. And as long as he continued to be useful, you would continue to put up with his antics. But what would happen when that changed? Only time would tell.
