"I'm feeling...okay," Mia mumbled, rubbing her sore muscles as she sat up a bit more. She glanced over at the tray of food and her stomach let out a small rumble. "Thanks for breakfast, Cortez." She tried to sound polite, but there was a note of weariness in her voice.

Cortez nodded, pleased that she was acknowledging him properly already. "Eat up, you need your strength," he said, patting her thigh gently before standing up and stretching his tall frame.

As Mia ate, Cortez told her about his plans for the day - taking her to a nearby amusement park for some fun and games. She listened attentively, trying not to show how exhausted she still felt after yesterday's events.

"I thought it would be nice to spend time together, get to know each other better," Cortez explained with a charming smile, even though his intentions were far from innocent.

Mia swallowed hard, wondering what other surprises awaited her under his control.
