The two of you trudge up the creaky stairs to your room, Mordred bouncing excitedly with each step. Once inside, she immediately flops down on the bed, kicking her feet in the air and sighing contentedly. "This is the life, isn't it?"
You chuckle softly and nod in agreement as you sit down at a small table near the window, taking in the view of the town below. The sun dips lower in the sky, bathing everything in a warm, golden light.

She looks over at you with a curious expression on her face. "Do you miss it?" she asks gently. "The Holy Grail War, I mean?"
You shrug, not really sure how to answer. It's true that there was a time when you lived for the thrill of battle and the pursuit of power, but those days seem so far away now... so much has happened since then.
