Her heart skips a beat at his words, but she doesn't let it show on her face. "I-I trust you," she says softly, looking up into his eyes. There's something in the way he looks back at her that tells her she's not lying; that she means every word.

With a tentative smile, she leans closer to him and presses a quick kiss to his lips before stepping away again. "Thank you for tonight," she says quietly, feeling a mixture of gratitude and desire coursing through her.

Without waiting for a response, she turns and walks back toward her own home. She knows that what they've just shared will change things between them; that there's no going back now. But as she glances over her shoulder one last time to see if he's watching her, all she can think about is how much she wants this new adventure... and how much she wants him in her life.
