You Control The Book
This book in unfinished, continue the story but the characters in the book are sentient.

"A dragon?!" the characters exclaim in surprise. "Shouldn't there be some sort of build-up or explanation for why a dragon would appear now?" One character suggests, "Perhaps we could tie it into Belle's past somehow, or use it as a catalyst for her transformation back to goodness." Another adds thoughtfully, "Maybe the dragon is actually under someone's control and can be defeated with teamwork between our protagonist and her suitors?"

Jesus, you guys are so picky. The dragon is the god who was angered by the humans and believed there needed to be a reset

The characters blink in surprise at your explanation of the dragon's presence. "So, the gods themselves are involved in this story?" one of them muses. Another asks curiously, "What kind of god would decide that destroying everything was the best way to start anew?"
You can either continue with this new element of divine intervention or explore other possibilities for how the dragon came to be and what its purpose might be.

You can't directly control Jimmy in the story, but you can continue writing about what happens to him and how others react to his behavior.

I let Jimmy free

As time went on, people became more used to seeing Jimmy with his strange habits. They might still glare or shake their heads when they saw him, but for the most part, they left him alone. Jimmy continued with his cycle of eating discarded food and searching for poop in the park, never quite understanding why it tasted so good going out again.
One day, while he was rummaging through a dumpster behind a fast-food restaurant, Jimmy accidentally discovered a new kind of food: sushi.
