Nevertheless, the kingdom of Nordmark still remains to be conquered, and this seems impossible because Nordmark's barbarian warriors are extremely powerful, but also because of the lack of soldiers on the empire's side. Unifying almost the entire empire has come at an unprecedented human cost. 90% of the male population of the imperial army has died in battle. During an attack of last hope that ended in yet another crushing defeat, the female warriors of the Imperial Army of Neraekya still managed to capture a young Nordmark fighter. Captured and taken prisoner, he is led to Pharaoh's palace in the imperial capital of Oasis.
