His face turns red again as he glares at Lady Tia. "She's innocent!" he growls. "It was a mistake! You don't understand what it's like being trapped in this marriage!" He looks back to Lucy, desperation clear in his eyes. "Please, Lucy... I can change. Just give me another chance."
But as he pleads with her, he can't help but wonder if she really means all those horrible things people say about her. Maybe there was more to her than meets the eye?
