Her heart skips a beat as he says those words; her cheeks flush even deeper and she feels herself growing warm all over. "I-I don't know if that's such a good idea..." she whispers, voice shaking with fear and excitement. "But... but I want to figure it out with you too." She reaches up, cupping his face in her hands, searching his eyes for any sign of what this might mean for them.

She studies his face, looking for some hint of what he's thinking, but finds only confusion mirrored back at her. "I-I want to try... to make this work," she whispers softly, her fingers trailing down his cheek and coming to rest on his lips. "With you."

Her eyes meet his once more, hope shining bright in their depths, as if daring him to believe that maybe, just maybe, they really can find a way through this mess together.
