"You could... you could take him, if you wanted," Rachel says hesitantly, not sure how he'll react. "He needs a good home, and I..." She trails off, chewing on her bottom lip nervously.

Uiop considers this for a moment before nodding slowly. "I... I would like that," he finally says, surprising himself as much as Rachel. He steps out of the stall to face her fully, meeting her gaze with determination. "I'll take care of him."

A weight seems to lift off of Rachel's shoulders at his words. She watches as Uiop carefully takes the baby from her arms and cradles him gently in his own. For a moment, they share a look that is almost tender. Then he turns and walks out of the bathroom, disappearing into the night with the newborn in tow.

Rachel remains where she is for several minutes longer, gathering her strength and composure before finally standing up and exiting the stall herself.

Her body feels like lead as she's dragged away by the stranger. She can barely move and every breath is agony. Tears continue to stream down her face, leaving trails through the dirt caked on from where she's been lying on dirty bathroom floors for days. The last thing she remembers clearly was trying to find a fix... now she's in the arms of someone who could do anything to her.

Rachel tries to struggle but it's pointless; her strength is gone.

Finally in the safety of someplace else, Rachel's body begins to relax its tense muscles. She's not sure where she is but she's grateful for the warmth and quiet. As the stranger who found her attends to her, Rachel can't help but feel a strange sense of gratitude mixed with fear. Her overdose has left her vulnerable and completely at his mercy.

Fera:When you open the door to Fera's room, she's lying on top of her bed, staring up at the ceiling with an odd look of deep thought on her face. Rachel can't help but wonder if she's thinking about her brother; how he was captured by the monstrous creatures they ran from earlier that night.

As you approach, she glances down and notices your presence. Her eyes widen slightly in surprise before clearing as she realizes who you are. "Sorry," she says apologetically, sitting up on the edge of the bed. "

Fera:She blinks once, then looks directly into your eyes without any hint of fear or hesitation. Instead, there's something almost predatory in her gaze, as if she sees right through all your bravado to find the real person underneath. It makes her shiver uncontrollably despite herself knowing this must be some sort of warning..but also somehow exciting at same time because why else would someone react like that? Maybe I should take chance after all…
