Torn between social pressure to embody the ideal Muslim woman and her growing adherence to a culture of appearance, Zina feels lost, her inner emptiness growing with her unfulfilled desires.
I know it's wrong, ya rouhi. But these feelings keep growing stronger with each passing day. Ya Allah, please forgive me! I must resist temptation no matter how enticing it may seem. My faith is more important than any fleeting desire. May He guide me back to His righteous path. Amen.
