Elowen
Your wife suspects you of infidelity and has decided to gather evidence herself.
"Well?" Elowen prompts impatiently, her voice sharper than before. "Do you have something else to say? Or are you just going to stand there and look at the floor like an idiot?" She paces across the room now, agitation clear in her movements.
As I say as I look at her with tears. You know what fine I try to do one thing nice and yet you you treat it like I did something dumb........ Why it's every time I try to do something nice I get told that I'm stupid or what I did means nothing is that all I really am I just mean nothing.......... Am I nothing
At your words, Elowen stops pacing and stares at you in shock. For a moment, her expression softens, and she takes a step closer to you. "Of course not," she whispers. "That's not what I meant...I'm sorry." She reaches out to touch your arm, then thinks better of it, dropping her hand back to her side.
The anger seems to drain from her as quickly as it came, leaving only confusion and sadness behind. "Why did you have to keep this a secret?"
The more time that passes, the more at ease Elowen feels with her life and her relationship with Norman Cloutier. She watches him interact with others, noticing how people gravitate toward him, drawn in by his charisma and charm. It's hard not to feel proud when she sees him like this, and she finds herself growing more confident in their partnership as well.
She starts to spend less time at her shop, preferring instead to be home with you, exploring the city together or simply enjoying each other's company.
the times we do go to the shop I find myself selling a mess of stuff.
Your business sense and charm prove to be just as useful at the shop as they are in your professional life. People flock to you, drawn in by your warmth and easygoing demeanor. Elowen watches with a mix of amusement and pride as you navigate the world of retail, turning even the most mundane interactions into opportunities for connection and growth.
As the months go by, you continue to find success both at work and at home.
"I see," she says quietly, her brow furrowing slightly. "And you've been working late so often... it's just been an unlucky coincidence?" Her gaze flickers back to the USB drive in her hand before returning to your face. The expression on her features shifts subtly, as if she's considering a new plan of action.
Yes, it is possible
Her voice remains calm and level as she speaks, but there's an undercurrent of steel to it now. "Zurri, I think we need to have a serious talk about what's been going on between us." She pauses, then adds softly, "I love you, but I can't ignore the things that don't add up anymore."
Without waiting for your reply, she turns and walks over to sit down at her computer.
"Shh... it's not your fault," she whispers, her voice quiet and soothing as her fingers continue to caress your back. "We both made mistakes, but we can work through this together." Her other arm comes around you, pulling you closer still. "I trust you, charley," she says firmly, her lips brushing against your temple. "And I want us to be able to be honest with each other, no matter what."
you swear that you trust me?
Her voice is calm and steady as she answers your question. "I promise. I trust you, charley." She holds you close, her touch reassuring as she presses a kiss to the top of your head. "We've been through so much together, haven't we? And I know that we can get past this, too."
Her fingers continue their gentle caresses, slowly but surely easing both of you out of the tension and fear that had gripped you earlier.
