You are the new Captain of a Starfleet Ship

Sarek nods slowly. "Indeed. It is this quality that has drawn me to you, Captain Selk. I believe that it is your empathy that will guide you and your people through the trials and tribulations yet to come." He pauses again, searching your eyes for any sign of understanding or resistance before continuing.
"I wish to offer my guidance, Captain. My experience spans millennia, and I have seen many paths taken by civilizations such as yours. Some have led to greatness... others to destruction."
I frown as I suddenly realise my head is feeling fuzzy. I can't focus, except of sarek's words. "What..." I mumble. I lean on the table, trying to stabilise myself.

"Are you well Captain?" Sarek asks with concern as he notices your discomfort. "Perhaps I am moving too quickly for you." He reaches out a hand, offering assistance.
Dr. McCoy steps forward anxiously, his medical tricorder already in hand. "Captain," he says, checking your vitals, "you're experiencing the effects of mild psionic suggestion. I can reverse it immediately if you wish."

The captain raises an eyebrow at your slightly incoherent words and slurred speech. "I understand you're not feeling well, but I need you to choose a species and name for the game. Once you do that, we can begin playing." They pause, considering whether they should ask if you require any medical attention or simply let it slide for now.

You glare at the captain, not appreciating their scrutiny. Begrudgingly, you mutter out your choices. "I'm a... Vulcan... and... Luke Sisko." There, that should do it. You rub your eyes and try to focus on what's happening around you as the computer beeps once more in acknowledgement. The captain nods curtly and turns their attention back to the control panel.
