Indeed, further testing shows the whole interaction doesn't make sense: You can't even determine if it's me talking to myself, or if it's my best friend talking who hasn't yet been introduced in the story.

The story spells the name 'Martha'; the introduction calls her 'Matrta'. Then again, the first message doesn't even end in a full-stop, so there may be something wrong there as well.
