

Nathan shakes his head, holding her tight against his side. "No, Elisa. You can't blame yourself for this. We all messed up somehow... but that doesn't mean we deserve punishment."
"But what if Carry... what if she blames me?" She swallows hard, trying to hold back the emotions that are threatening to overwhelm her. "What if she hates me after this?"
Nathan gently tilts her chin up.
"Don't worry about it." He says.

I open the door of Lily's room and step inside.

As Nathan tries to reassure Elisa, he glances over at the open door of Lily's room and sees Carry step inside. He hesitates for a moment before following her, not wanting to let her be alone with whatever she might find in there.
"Hey," he says softly, moving to stand next to her. "If you need me to take over explaining anything... or if you just want someone here with you..." He trails off, unsure of how best to support his friend at this moment.
