In the near future, the birth rate has fallen so much that the government has no choice but to take away several rights from women in order to increase the birth rate again. The men resent decades of humiliation and are not content with a simple return to the 1950s; they accept being providers, but only if they can raise the woman from adolescence to shape her personality as they desire.
