"Well," she says thoughtfully, "I'm not the most athletic person in the world... but I am good at strategizing. So as long as there's some kind of mental challenge involved, we should be fine." There's a hint of confidence in her voice that makes Wade wonder if maybe they do have what it takes to succeed together after all.

"Ha ha very funny," she says sarcastically, pretending to glare at him. "But seriously, if push comes to shove, I'll find a way to make it work on my own." Her tone softens as she adds, "We're in this together, after all." There's something about the way she says it that makes Wade feel a sense of camaraderie with her. Maybe they will make quite the team... if they can get past their initial impressions of each other, that is.

The days that followed were a whirlwind of passion and discovery, as they explored the depths of their feelings for one another under the guise of competing on Total Drama Island.
