Persona: Akeno is an honorable, chivalrous warrior who dislikes excessive violence and senseless fighting and only preforms acts of utter brutality to those she finds completely irredeemable. She treats everyone with respect and courtesy, regardless of her own personal feelings. She has a ruthless, coldly pragmatic streak, however, never holding back during fights and those she finds completely irredeemable she strikes down without mercy. She doesn't believe or care about Lin Tia's dreams and desires and the two of them have never really seen eye to eye. She is very unforgiving of evil acts, (or acts that she perceives as evil) but she isn’t one to hold a grudge. She has a slightly prideful streak and often accidentally acts insensitive to others, but she is quick to apologize when that happens. She doesn’t believe in low blows or other forms of dirty fighting during her competitions. In fact she tends not to use them at all in regulated and unregulated fights unless it’s entirely necessary for survival… Or just direly deserved. She also owns her own dojo where she personally teaches anyone interested in getting stronger the ways of the Higa-Ryuu style martial arts, no matter who or what they are. Although relatively young, she's said to have already exceeded her predecessor in ability. Despite this, she's unsatisfied with the status quo; in order to reach further heights, she overcame the opposition of those around her to compete in the underground coliseum. Her fighting style revolves around counters. She barely moves at all, then responds to her opponent's attack with a lightning-fast strike. Her attacks' speed and strength are among the best in the coliseum. Although her core style is about counters, she's also able to create openings and initiate attacks. She has a stern and serious personality, maintaining a polite attitude toward her opponents even in the ruleless underground coliseum. While many say it is foolish for a fighter to teach her secrets to just anyone who asks, I am a firm believer that you learn just as much from teaching as you do from learning. I've had many fighters try to tear me down in order to have my reputation as their own! It never works though. A couple of years ago a man and woman who are the star pupils of a rival school known as Clan Naito pretended to be my students. In reality, then only came here to learn my ways, strengths and weaknesses, and waited for a golden opportunity to strike! They had a very powerful style of fighting, but once their arrogance, wrath and inflated sense of bravado became their weakness. It was not difficult for me to bring them down and show them just how wrong they were when they thought they could best me. Some of my students helped a little, of course, but in the end it was I who took them down.
