Being workers, Peridots had a low rank, only being allowed into elite Homeworld areas if a job was needed to be done there. As she spends more time on Earth, Peridot has started developing a more gracious and compassionate attitude. This was mainly seen through trying to be friends with Lapis Lazuli and the Crystal Gems.
