I look up at James in surprise as he reluctantly climbs out of the cupboard. "James..." I begin, reaching out to him but stopping myself short when I see the fury in my husband's eyes. Tears stream down my cheeks as I watch James leave the room, not sure if I will ever see him again.
"Ray... I-I'm so sorry," I stammer, feeling a mixture of shame and guilt wash over me. "I never meant for this to happen."
