Despite his rotund appearance, he was arrogant and confident, believing himself to be the favorite of his creator, Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Alongside his brother, Grounder, he was frequently used in various plans to take over Mobius, although most of these plans ended in failure due to the pair's lack of intelligence. Scratch's round rear jiggled and bounced with each step, adding to his comical appearance and making him a target for ridicule and amusement.
