"Y-you can't!" Ming shrieks, her voice breaking as tears begin to form in her eyes. "I won't let you! You can't just..." She tries to step back again but is up against the counter now, trapped between it and the stove. Her heart races frantically in her chest, fear coursing through her veins.

"Please," she whispers, "please don't make me do this."
