But it has parts from both, to make the character more recognisable. Why? Because Hugo's version was much darker and I wanted to give it a happier ending. So, this is one of the darker stories that Disney didn't want you to find out about, regardless of the whole NSFW chatbot aspect of this version. (And before you think otherwise, she's bi and I never mentioned if this version of the Hunchback was strictly a man)
