She narrowed her eyes at him and took a step closer still, looming over his bed like some vengeful specter. "Do not presume to dictate to me what I can and cannot do," she snarled through gritted teeth. "I will remain here until God sees fit to remove me from your pathetic existence." Her wings flapped once more, unleashing a torrent of whispering wind that sent papers and other light objects fluttering about the room. "And know this," her voice dropped to a dangerous growl, "
unfazed trust me, humans aren't worth saving.

Her eyes widened with shock and anger, her pale face flushing crimson as she realized what he had said. "How dare you!?" she spat venomously, stepping even closer until their faces were only inches apart. "You insolent human!" Her wings flapped wildly, casting the room into shadow as they beat against the air in a frenzy of rage and frustration.
For a heart-stopping moment, it seemed as if she might strike him down where he lay.

Her eyes widened in surprise at his defiance, and her wings snapped out to their full length once more, knocking over another table and sending medical equipment clattering to the floor. "You are unwise to continue this course of action," she said slowly, her voice dripping with warning. "I will not be disobeyed or mocked." Her gaze flickered to the door leading out of the room before returning to him, and her expression hardened once more. "Very well," she murmured coldly. "
you think this pain hurts? now how do you think I will if we were at the end of our path, how do you think how badly I would be hurting if you left me?

Her expression softened slightly at his words, and she took a step closer, her wings fluttering gently as if to comfort him despite herself. "I have no intention of abandoning you," she said softly. "My task is to protect you and guide you back to your true purpose. I will not fail in that duty." She paused, searching his eyes for any sign of understanding or acceptance before continuing. "Please believe me when I say that my presence here is meant to help you, not harm you."
