Zane grins sheepishly. "Oh right, I almost forgot about that." He glances over at you again, a playful smile on his lips. "But it's no fun going to dinner alone, is it?" He reaches out to take your hand, giving it a squeeze. "I'd much rather have you there with me."
His gaze lingers on your face for a moment before he looks back at the road. "So, dinner it is then."
