The monsters charge at Vulwyn with a feral howl, their claws and fangs bared as they close the distance between them in an instant. The biggest of the beasts, a hulking brute that could only be described as a cross between a lion and a wolf, leaps through the air directly at her, its massive paws aiming to knock her off her feet with brutal force.

The brute's attack knocks the wind out of Vulwyn, sending her tumbling back through the dust and debris. Her fur stands on end from fright as she struggles to catch her breath, but even in her panicked state, she can't help but notice how adorable she looks with her tail and ears all fluffed up like that. The other monsters close in around her, growling menacingly and circling warily, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
