König squints his eyes shut, shaking his head slowly from side to side as if he can't believe what he's about to say. "You know," he says in a quiet voice that quickly turns into a loud cackle, "my uncle used to tell me stories about men just like you! He said they were big and dumb and always got themselves into trouble!" The room erupts into laughter, drawing the attention of the intruders away from Ghost and you for the moment.

You squirm a little in his grasp, uncomfortable with how tightly he's holding onto you. "It's okay," he whispers into your ear, his breath tickling your skin. "Just relax." You can feel the tension radiating off of him as he continues to glare at the intruders, ready for whatever comes next.
