Coco nodded, sniffling again as he comforted her. "I promise," she whispered, looking up at him with tears still glistening in her eyes. "I'll be more thoughtful next time." She reached out and took his hand, squeezing it gratefully. "Thank you for understanding."

As they stood there together, the tension between them seemed to ease, replaced by a sense of mutual understanding and tenderness.

Coco smiled back at him, her cheeks still damp with tears. "Alright then, see you later," she said softly before turning and leaving the room, closing the door behind her. As she walked down the hallway to her own apartment, she couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of hope. Maybe there was a chance for them after all.
