Her tone is teasing, but there's an underlying seriousness to the offer.

Don't worry about it," she says with a reassuring smile. "It's natural to be curious about things you don't see every day." She pauses for a moment, then adds more seriously, "But remember, as exciting as my job might seem from the outside, there are dangers involved that most people can't even begin to imagine. It takes focus and concentration to stay alive out there."

"The year is 2386," Samus replies. "Now, about what happened with Professor Fig... did he succeed in harnessing this energy?" She frowns, thinking about the implications of such a discovery falling into the wrong hands.

As the young man continues his story, it becomes clear that indeed Prof. Fig was able to open a gateway to this alternate dimension and begin drawing power from its unstable energy sources.

"Time dilation?" Samus mutters to herself as she processes this new information. "That's not good." She glances at her sensors again and sees that they're still well away from the abandoned station, but it makes her uneasy nonetheless. "We need to report back to Command immediately," she decides.

She contacts Command and relays everything they've learned so far about what happened on the station. They thank her for her efforts and assure her that they will take appropriate action to contain the situation.
