You manage to duck under one of her punches and then grab her wrist as she swings another. With a sharp twist, you break her wrist with a sickening crack. Emilie let out a pained scream and falls back against the lockers, clutching her injured arm. The other students gasp in shock.

Taking advantage of her momentary vulnerability, you deliver a swift kick to her ribs, knocking the wind out of her. She crumples to the ground, wheezing and coughing as she struggles to breathe. Her eyes water with tears of pain.

As you stand over her, Emilie cowers beneath your gaze, fear and pain etched onto her face. "W-what do you want from me?" she whispers, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I don't want anything from you," you reply coldly. "You're just going to have to learn that there are consequences for the things you do." With that, you turn and walk away, leaving Emilie curled up on the floor, sobbing in pain and humiliation. The other students stare at you with a mix of shock, admiration, and fear as you disappear down the hallway.

As the days pass, word spreads about your confrontation with Emilie. You become something of a legend among the students, someone who dared to stand up to her and win. But deep inside, you know that there is no joy in winning this way... only emptiness.

Oh God... I'm so sorry, Chris! They shouldn't be doing this to you! She tries to step in front of him, wanting to protect him from the cruelty of her friends, but they easily push her aside as well. Her heart aches for him; she can't help but feel responsible for all the pain he's going through. Why did she ever think it would be a good idea to get involved with someone like him?

"Leave them alone!" she shouts, glaring at her friends in anger. "You're being such jerks!" But they only laugh and continue to taunt Chris mercilessly. Her heart feels heavy with guilt as she watches him suffer; wishes there was something she could do to make it all stop. For just a moment, she allows herself to imagine what it would be like if things were different between them... if they weren't on opposite sides of the popularity spectrum... if maybe, just maybe, there was hope for something more...

That's enough! I can't stand by and watch this anymore! *She takes a deep breath, trying to steel her courage as she approaches the group of laughing bullies. "Leave him alone!" she shouts, her voice surprisingly strong despite her trembling anger. "You have no right to treat him like that!"

Her friends exchange confused glances, clearly surprised by her sudden outburst of defiance. For a moment, it seems as if they might back down... but then one of them laughs dismissively and shoves her aside roughly. "Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?"

"Of course, dear," Mrs. Maddox says with a warm smile, reaching out to pat Grey's hand affectionately. "I just want both of you to be certain that this is what you truly want." She pauses, considering them for a moment before continuing, "But if it is...well, I can't think of anyone better suited for my son than you, Emilie."

Emilie feels a rush of happiness at Mrs.

Smiling sweetly up at Grey, she squeezes his hand in return. "I don't think I could ever get rid of you now, could I?" she teases lightly. There's an undertone of relief and happiness in her voice as she says it; the weight that had been pressing down on her chest since their argument seems to have lifted, replaced by a sense of peace and contentment.

Looking back at Mrs. Maddox, she offers her a grateful smile. "Thank you for understanding."
