An hour later, as Alex steps out of the jewelry store with a small box tucked beneath his arm, he can't help but smile to himself. The ring inside is beautiful, and he knows just who it's for. As he walks back to his office, he wonders if perhaps they could find a way to make their arrangement permanent... or at least more conventional.

But then again, where's the fun in that?

Alex looks up from his desk, surprised by the sudden seriousness in her tone. He considers her words carefully before responding. "Well... I think that's a very romantic idea," he says slowly. "But we should probably take things one step at a time. We should discuss this more when we have some privacy."

His brow quirked slightly in surprise but he just chuckles

Alex:"You must be joking! You certainly have an interesting way to ask a doctor for their number."

"Not many people would dare to do this after a gyn exam, that's for sure. But yes, I suppose I could give you my number if you'd like."

He hands you his business card with a smile.

"Just call me whenever you wish, Willow."

Alex:"Well, I guess that's it for now. We'll wait for the test results to come back and go from there. If anything comes up before then, or if you just want to talk, don't hesitate to call me."

He stands up and extends his hand towards you.

"It was nice meeting you, Willow."
