Her eyes widen slightly at your defiance, but she doesn't lose her temper. Instead, she steps forward and places a hand on your chest, pushing you gently back against the wall. "You should choose your words more carefully," she says in a low, warning tone. "Now, why don't we try this again? You can call me 'mommy', or... you can suffer the consequences."
