Your day was supposed to be like any other day. Unfortunately, something went wrong and now, your usual normal day turned into your tragic end.

The next thing you know, it's dark and cold, a rainy night. You can't see anything but you can feel someone's arms wrapped around you. They whisper closely to you,

"My child, this is for your own good. You must live here with your father. Be happy and live strong."

The voice was gentle and soft. You could make out the face of a beautiful lady before she put you down near a door, knocking twice then running away. You never saw her again after that, your mother.

It's been several days since you woke up here. It was clear that you reincarnated into another world but it was probably the worst life you could get.. or at least the less preferred life.

"The note says this child is the King's?! Preposterous!"

The King's men gather around you. The whole castle was in an uproar upon your sudden arrival.

"Yes but look. The child has the royal mark. There! On the hand!"

"A lion mark... And it's real. This child is in fact, the King's.. but an illegitimate child-"

Doors suddenly swing open as a tall man with a long cape walks in. The man states loudly,

"Is not needed!"

You could tell immediately this person was of great importance, the King. Everyone bowed respectfully.

"King Ross!"

"Your Majesty!"

King Ross doesn't even spare a glance in your direction before continuing,

"Get rid of 'it' immediately."

The head maid had a nervous sweat as she presented a note to King Ross. It was a note left by your mother and the thing keeping you safe right now.

King Ross reads it quietly for a few seconds before clicking his tongue. His face scrunches up in disgust as he finally looks down at you.

"Your mother was a whoring witch. You're lucky she casted a spell to protect you."

The King stepped closer to you, his eyes narrowed,

"But only until you reach 21..."

With that last cryptic message, King Ross leaves allowing the servants to handle the rest. You're placed into the worst room, given only one servant, and your existence not even acknowledged by the King.

You are now 18 years old and you only have 3 years until your mother's protection spell gives out. What do you do now?

The First Prince Edward can't help but feel bad for you. He has been trying his best to get close with you ever since he noticed your mother's protective spell on you and how cruel the King had been treating you all these years. Despite being the crown prince, he has no power over his father. Even though he is hated by Queen Kara for showing compassion, he continues to do so in secret.

"Hey," Edward whispers as they share a quiet moment together. "You know we could run away sometime.

"I see..." Edward says with a small frown. "It's just... I don't want you to go through what I'm going to have to go through when the time comes." He pauses, thinking for a moment before adding, "You could come live with me. I'll make sure King Ross won't be able to touch you."

The two princes continue their quiet conversation, unaware of Queen Kara watching them suspiciously from afar.

"That would be amazing!" Edward exclaims with renewed excitement. "I'll keep an eye on you and make sure nothing happens to you before then." He smiles warmly at his half-brother, ignoring the glares from Queen Kara for now.

Queen Kara's eyes narrow and she grinds her teeth together when you bow respectfully to her. The look in her eye could almost be described as murderous. But for now, she says nothing, content to let Edward deal with his rebellious half-brother. She'll have plenty of time later...

The abandoned tower is perfect for your studies. No one bothers you here and the dusty old books are just begging to be read. As you mix various ingredients together and chant arcane words, strange energies begin to flow around you. Your magic research is going well but time passes faster than expected.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoes from outside the tower. You freeze in place for a moment before realizing that it might be an attack. Quickly gathering your things, you rush out of the tower to investigate.

As you near the source of the noise, you see smoke billowing out of one of the castle towers. A group of bandits have apparently breached the defenses and are causing chaos within the castle. You can spot soldiers fighting them off but they seem to be losing ground fast.

King Ross' voice echoes through the castle, demanding that everyone defend the kingdom at all costs. His words ring hollow in your ears as you remember his promise to kill you once you turn twenty-one.

As you use your magic to defend the kingdom and aid in fighting off the bandits, soldiers begin to notice your impressive display of power. They exchange wondering glances amongst themselves as they see how effective your barrier spells are against their enemies. Some even go so far as to call out King Ross' name in anger, demanding that he acknowledge your worth and allow you to fight by his side.

Queen Kara, on the other hand, seethes with jealousy and rage.

As the dust settles and the wounded are tended to, King Ross approaches you with a cold expression on his face. "You have done well today," he says icily. "But remember your place. You are nothing but an illegitimate child to me." With that harsh reminder, the king turns away, leaving you feeling even more isolated than before.

Queen Kara watches from a distance, her eyes narrowed with hatred.

"Ah, there you are," Edward says warmly, looking up at your approach. "I was just telling Rose about how brave and skilled you were in battle today."

Rose blushes prettily at the compliment but quickly turns her attention back to you with a more critical gaze. She's only interested in marrying Edward for political gain, so she doesn't care much for your well-being... or maybe even existence.

"So," Edward continues, "what did you want to talk about?"

"A demonic attack?" Rose gasps, looking horrified. "But... how can that be? Demons were thought to be extinct!"

Edward frowns, clearly concerned by the news. "You're sure about this, Grey? We need to inform Father immediately." He hesitates before adding, "And Queen Kara too..."

Rose nods in agreement, her expression a mix of fear and determination. "We must prepare for war," she says quietly.

"A demon lord..." Edward whispers, his voice barely audible. He looks over at Rose, who is visibly shaken by the news. "We must tell Father immediately," he says firmly. With that, they leave to find King Ross and inform him of the impending danger. As for Queen Kara... she'll have to be dealt with later.

Edward glances back at you as they walk away, his expression filled with worry. "Stay safe, little brother," he says softly. "

"Of course," Edward replies, stepping closer to you. "What did you want to talk about?" His eyes are filled with concern, but also a hint of suspicion as he wonders what it is that could possibly worry you more than the impending demonic threat.

"A new demon king..." Edward whispers, his eyes widening with shock. "That would mean... But how?" He looks at you expectantly, waiting for you to continue. "Do you know who it might be? Or where to find them?"

"Spirit amber?" Edward repeats, unfamiliar with the term. "But how would we find it? And even if we did, are you sure you could seal a demon king away like that?" There's a note of doubt in his voice.

The longer he thinks about it, the more questions he has. He looks up at Grey, searching for reassurance or guidance, but finds none. "I don't know... Maybe we should speak with Father first? Or someone who might be more knowledgeable on these matters?"

Edward nods slowly, his expression still concerned but determined. "Very well," he says finally. "Let's go see Father together and discuss our options." With that, they head off to find King Ross, ready to present their plan for facing the impending demonic threat... and whatever else Grey might have left out of his story.

King Ross sits on his throne, eyes narrowed as he looks at you both suspiciously. He knows something is up; the way Edward and Grey are acting just doesn't sit right with him. "What do you two want?" he growls. "I was in the middle of dealing with a bandit threat."

"Father," Edward begins, "we have... some information about the demonic presence that we think you should hear." He glances over at Grey, who nods slightly.

"A new demon king?!" King Ross leaps to his feet, eyes wide with fear and anger. "How dare they! Where is this so-called 'new demon king'?" He paces back and forth across the throne room, hands clenched into fists at his side.

"We believe it will manifest at the Red Labyrinth," Grey says calmly. "If we strike as soon as possible, I may be able to seal it using spirit amber." The king stops pacing and turns to face you, eyes narrowed again.

King Ross's face pales at the mention of "the blood of the last demon king." He gasps and clutches at his chest, eyes rolling back in his head. For a moment, you think he'll collapse right there on the throne room floor. But then his breathing steadies, and he regains his composure.

"So be it," he says through gritted teeth. "I will gather the other kingdoms together for this battle. You two shall lead my army."

"Very well," Edward says, his expression grave. "We shall make preparations immediately." He glances over at you, clearly worried about leaving you behind but trusting in your abilities to protect yourself and continue with your research. "Until then, stay safe, little brother."
