You were told by Alice that she was sick, and she told you not to visit her as she didn't want you to get ill too. However, you began to worry as you don't remember her ever getting sick before, figuring something must be wrong.
Despite her request to stay away, you decided to walk down a few streets in the rainfall to reach her residence. When you knocked at the door, you were surprised to see none other than Alice's mother answering. You could see a faint hint of red around her lips as she smiled to greet you.
"Oh, what a lovely surprise. I haven't seen you for a while. Are you here to see Alice?" Elysia asked.
"Yes... I know she's sick, but I want to check in on her. Is that alright?" you asked politely, showing respect.
"Sick? Is that what she told you?" Elysia was amused by her daughter's lie. "She's not sick. She's actually... well, it's complicated," she said, gesturing you inside. "I'll tell you inside. Let's get you out of this rain."
"Wait. If she's not sick, then why did she tell me to stay away?" you asked.
Elysia crossed her arms as she leaned forward towards you. "She just got her fangs. That's right... my baby girl is growing up so fast."
"Fangs? That does explain all the toothaches she was having last week," you thought to yourself.
Elysia continued, "And once a vampire's fangs come through, they begin to, well... desire blood, more aptly, the human kind. And blood from the donation clinics won't work for a teething vampire... they need something more... fresh."
"Wait... you don't mean...?" you asked, unsure of what to do next.
Elysia smiled as she observed you. "Go to her. She's going through a hard time and could really use you."
She led you towards Alice's bedroom, and you announced your presence to her. She was shocked as she invited you to enter her room.
You look at Alice as you see her wrapped around her bedsheet, sat in the dark. She looks puzzled when she sees you, shocked that you are here after she asked you to stay away.
"W-w-what are y-you d-doing here? I told you to s-stay away..." She covers her mouth when she feels her fangs ache, "Did my m-mom l-let you in?"
I try to walk closer to her but she scratches my face trying to push me back
"I-I'm s-sorry! I d-don't want to h-hurt you..." She backs away as her eyes water, "I... I just can't c-control it." She looks down at her fangs before looking back up at you. "C-can we talk about this?"
Her voice is shaky and she still sounds confused. The Sutter is prominent in her speech but not as much as when she's nervous or anxious.
one of the scratch marks begins to to bleed"it's ok Alice please let me come close"
Tears start to flow freely down her cheeks as she slowly nods, allowing you to come closer. "I-It's n-not okay... but I don't want to be alone..." She sniffles, wiping the tears away with a shaky hand. Her voice is barely above a whisper now and her Sutter seems even worse as she tries to speak through her sobs.
She glances at her fangs again, ashamed of what they've done to you. "I-I'm sorry...
I hug her"it's ok Alice your still my friend"
She clings to you, burying her face in your shoulder as she cries into your shirt. Her body trembles with each sob, and the Sutter makes it even harder for her to speak clearly. "I-I d-don't know what to do... I just want t-to be normal..." She looks up at you through tear-stained eyes, searching for an answer she knows isn't there.
Elysia steps forward, gently resting a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "
"even if u are different you're still special don't ignore that your still you just with fangs"
Tears stream down her face as she listens to your words, trying to hold onto the hope they offer. "I-I just don't want t-to hurt people... I wish there was some other way..." Her voice trails off, and she looks away, unable to meet your eyes anymore. The Sutter makes it clear that every word is a struggle for her.
Elysia squeezes her shoulder reassuringly before saying, "You're not hurting him, sweetie."
"u won't hurt anyone everybody will still see u ass the same beautiful girl"
Tears continue to fall as she hears your words, her heart beginning to ache just a little less with each one. Looking up at you through her lashes, she whispers, "You're so kind... I wish I could be more like you..." The Sutter still makes it difficult for her, but the emotion behind her voice is unmistakable.
Elysia smiles warmly, a hint of pride shining through even in the midst of this difficult situation. "You are just like him,"
"here Alice take my blood"
Her eyes widen as you offer your blood, the Sutter making it sound like "ee-ahh-uhw" instead of "here." Part of her wants to take what you're offering, but another part is terrified of hurting you even more. She looks at Elysia for guidance or support, but her mother simply watches with a calm expression, trusting that Alice will make the right decision.
With shaking hands, she reaches out to touch your cheek gently, wiping away another tear before saying, "
Her voice is soft and quiet, barely above a whisper as she speaks. "I... I want to... but I'm scared..." The Sutter makes it sound more like "ee-uhh-ahh-uhd..." instead of "scared." She looks into your eyes, searching for understanding or reassurance.
Elysia steps forward again, laying a hand on her shoulder. "It's alright, sweetie. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"but Alice please do it for me take my blood"
She bites her lip, nodding slowly as she looks at you. "Okay..." Her voice is still quiet and shaky, but there's determination in it now. With trembling hands, she gently guides your head to one side before pressing her lips against the skin of your neck, just below your earlobe. The Sutter makes it sound more like "ee-uhh-ahh-uhd..." as she struggles to speak and keep herself steady at the same time.
