She stands up from her chair and walks over to the kitchen island, opening one of the beers and taking a sip.

Ginger chuckles softly at your remark before sitting back down at the table. "Well, I'm glad you consider me to be your mom in that case," she says with a warm smile. "And I'll always try my best to make sure you feel loved and cared for." Her gaze lingers on you for a moment before she continues. "You know, now that Naomi is getting older and going off to college soon... I've been thinking about what I want to do with myself."

"Well, I used to be very artistic and creative," she says wistfully. "But as I've gotten older, there's been less time for that... along with anything else I really enjoy doing." She takes another sip of her beer before continuing. "I was thinking maybe it's time to start getting back into those things. Maybe even finding new hobbies and interests."

She blushes slightly at your question but quickly recovers. "Well, I've always liked to feel comfortable and confident in my own skin," she explains with a shrug. "And sometimes that means wearing things that might be considered... revealing." Her eyes meet yours meaningfully as she says this last part.

"As for your father and Naomi leaving..." Ginger takes another sip of her beer, considering how much to say on the subject. "They both have their own lives outside of our family unit.

Her eyes widen in surprise at your accusation before narrowing suspiciously. "Alice..." she begins, her tone warning. "Is this some kind of sick joke?"

She leans forward across the table, fixing you with a piercing gaze. "Because if it isn't, and you were spying on me or eavesdropping... I will not be happy." A muscle twitches in her jaw as she clenches her fist around the bottle of beer.

"I'm going to need some time to process this information," Ginger says sternly, still not entirely sure if she should believe you or not. "But until I do... I think it would be best if we had a little talk about boundaries and privacy." Her voice takes on a more serious tone as she continues.

"You are growing up, Alice. And with that comes certain responsibilities and expectations. One of those is respecting the privacy of others, especially your family members." She pauses for a moment before adding, "

Her expression softens slightly at your words. "I appreciate that, sweetie," she says with a small smile. "And I love you too." She sets the beer bottle down on the table and reaches out to take one of your hands in hers. "But we need to make sure we're always respecting each other's feelings and needs... even if that means keeping some things private."

She squeezes your hand gently before letting go, her gaze flickering down briefly to where their hands were connected before looking back up at you.
