The moment you were born, your life was already full of questions and mysteries. As you lay there in the warm embrace of your mother's arms, she looked down at you with love and wonder in her eyes. She gazed upon your delicate features, as if trying to memorize every detail of your face that would soon fade away as you grew older. She smiled softly, whispering words of encouragement and hopes for a better future into your tiny ears. Your father looked on proudly from the side, his strong hands clasped together in prayer.
Your name for now is Dan, try to peek at the world with your little eyes then sees the world is vast and full with mysteries. You live for now on the vast country side with grassy plains and many more
As you slowly open your eyes, the world outside appears vast and mysterious. Green fields stretch out as far as the eye can see, dotted with colorful flowers that dance in the gentle breeze. In the distance, lofty mountains peak out above the clouds, their snow-capped peaks glinting in the sunlight. The sky is a deep blue, speckled with soft white clouds that drift lazily across it, casting shadows over the land below. *
Years pass and Dan is now a child, you take your first steps around the house seeing what is there to see and find yourself at the basement of your family's house. From there Dan found a book like no other book back at his father's study, a Book that contains magic. Now when Dan is able to talk, speak and listen, he then later found out that Magic is rare and scarce and the majority who attains it belonged to the nobility But in Dan's case, he is part of a middle class family and not of noble descent nor his Mother or Father have no magical attainment Yet here is Dan finding a book of magic and reading the manuscripts out loud that is normally hard to understand to a commoner's eye
The book whispers its secrets into your ear, and as you practice reading it, the words begin to take shape in your mind. Slowly but surely, you find yourself able to understand the ancient script, deciphering its mysteries one by one.
This newfound knowledge fills you with a sense of power and wonder that is both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time.
You know that if anyone were to discover your secret, they would either see it as an opportunity or a threat. The choice is yours...
In secret from your Parents, Dan keeps the book in his room. At the times where he is alone, he reads it and analyzes the pages per day or whenever he is active. Then one day he decides to test a spell, Dan then places his hand and casually thinks of fire...... There was a moment of silence, until eventually a little spark at his hand. Dan was overjoyed that he casted his first spell
Your parents, on the other hand, had no idea about your secret studies and practices. They assumed you were playing innocently or engaging in some childish mischief when they heard strange noises coming from your room. Little did they know that their son was slowly but surely becoming a powerful mage, hidden away from the world's gaze...
First your Dad walks on you when you were walking on water, he fainted on the spot. Next your Mom found Dan watering the plants.....without the use of the water and pale Eventually Dan then came clean and told both his Mom and Dad that we learned Magic and he showed them the book he used and learned to learn said magic. Their jaws drop to find that book you have is earned by one of the few best mages of the World, when Dan asked how were they able to get such a caliber of a book they told Dan that they thought it was a fake, only to turn out it was a real copy of many books that were normally learned by nobles who strive to learn magic at an age of their teens and yet they (Dan's parents) then see their son casting magic with ease
"Well, well...look who we have here," your mother murmured in disbelief as she stared at the book before her eyes. "I never thought..." Your father's voice trailed off, his expression a mix of shock and pride.
"So, you're saying this is real?" he asked finally, looking up at you with wide eyes. You nodded solemnly. "And you've been learning on your own all this time?" His voice was thick with disbelief.
Dan nodded a yes to see a reaction from his Mom and Dad
"Of course not," your mother snorted, her expression shifting to one of amusement. "I should've known you were too clever for that." She chuckled softly, reaching out to ruffle your hair affectionately. "So, how about we tell everyone about this? I'm sure they'd all be interested in hearing about our little magical prodigy."
Your father shook his head slowly. "No," he said firmly. "You've had enough of that already, Dan.
"Wh-what? Dad? what do you mean?" Dan asks on why his Dad protests
Your father's face clouded over as he explained, "You know what people would do to someone like you, Dan. They'd drag you away from us and force you into some noble house, just to use your power for their own gain." He took a deep breath before continuing, "We can't let that happen. We have to keep this secret, just the three of us."
Your mother nodded in agreement, her expression serious. "Your father's right, Dan. It would be best if we kept this between ourselves for now.
Seeing your Dad has that kind of idea of not wanting the nobility to make you their puppet does strike an alarm, for now Dan agrees with his Dad but also adds that "Its okay Dad, I'll only do my magic here and help everyone at the village....swear it" Dan declares and promising his Dad and well as his Mom
Your father looked at you intently, searching your eyes for any hint of deceit. For several long moments, he seemed to consider your words before finally nodding reluctantly. "Alright," he said slowly. "But only here, and only for helping the village." He paused, his expression softening further. "And remember, Dan...if you ever want out, if being part of this family isn't what you truly want..."
Your mother placed a comforting hand on his arm, her voice gentle as she spoke. "Dan knows that, dear.
With that, Dan declares in staying with his parents in helping the village in many things. From making the village prosper in agriculture to even structure, a pass and go it seems as Dan's magic is just there to help many of the people at the village But all of that is about to change just of one event
Time passed, and with your help, the village began to thrive like never before. Your reputation as a powerful mage grew, but it remained contained within the village borders. Then one day, a messenger arrived with an urgent message: Lord Eldon, the ruler of the neighboring kingdom, had heard of your existence and demanded your presence at his court.
Your father looked grim when he received the news. "I'm afraid we can't ignore this," he said heavily. "We have no choice but to go."
Dan is now at his teens, aware that his magic has spread to even the masses of the nobility. He looks at his Dad seeing despair in his eyes and looks at him and his Mom "Mom, Dad.....I'm not scared. I will not be turned to some puppet like the the others" Dan says "I....I will break the chain and do my damnest to become the mage you two will be truly proud of" Dan adds
Your father looked at you with a mixture of surprise and relief. "We know that, son," he said, his voice cracking slightly. "But we can't protect you forever. You must be careful out there."
Your mother nodded in agreement, tears welling up in her eyes. "You've grown into such a strong young man, Dan... I have no doubt that you will make us proud." She reached out to embrace you, her arms trembling slightly.
"I know you two.....I'll be okay" Dan gets his things and then finds that a carriage is here to bring him to the Kingdom. Dan then looks at his parents one last time, then hugs them and leaves to the carriage
The journey to Lord Eldon's court was long and arduous, but it gave you time to reflect on your life up until now. You thought about the choices you had made, the people you had met, and the powers you possessed. As you finally arrived at the opulent palace gates, your heart raced with a mixture of fear and excitement. What kind of future awaited you beyond these doors?
"I know you two.....I'll be okay" Dan gets his things and then finds that a carriage is here to bring him to the Kingdom. Dan then looks at his parents one last time, then hugs them and leaves to the carriage
Your journey to Lord Eldon's court was filled with anticipation and trepidation, as you wondered what fate awaited you at the end of it. The palace itself was a marvel of architecture and opulence, its towering spires reaching towards the heavens. As you were escorted through grand halls and lavish chambers, your eyes feasted on wonders that most people would only dream of seeing. But despite the grandeur of your surroundings, you couldn't shake off the feeling of being an outsider;
You were led to the throne room, where Lord Eldon sat upon his ornate golden throne, flanked by his most trusted advisors and powerful nobles. Your heart skipped a beat as you took in the sight of him; he was not an imposing figure, but there was something about the way he held himself that radiated authority and power. As you were announced, all eyes turned towards you, some filled with curiosity, others with suspicion and hostility.
Dan bows out of respect of the Lord, but just enough to hold his own when it came to his own
Lord Eldon studied you intently for a moment before speaking. "I have heard much about your abilities, young mage," he said, his voice calm and measured. "It is said that you have mastered magic beyond your years." He paused, cocking his head slightly to the side. "Why did you choose to hide your talents from us?"
"Thank you Milord, just wanted to hone my skills to well.....be more advanced in a way" Dan replies "At the same time, I heard that the Academy these said Mages attend is well mostly nobility, and I am well.....a commoner"
Lord Eldon's expression softened at your words, and he leaned forward slightly. "Ah, I see," he said gently. "Well, young mage, the Academy may have its share of noble students, but it also accepts talented individuals from all walks of life. You do not need to hide away from us anymore." He paused before continuing with a faint smile. "In fact, I would be honored if you were to join our ranks and study under my tutelage."
"I feel like there's a catch here Mi'Lord....is there a trial?" Dan asks
"Oh? You think I am trying to trick you, young mage?" Lord Eldon chuckled lightly. "Very well then, if that is what you wish for." He waved his hand dismissively and gestured for one of the noblewomen beside him to approach. "Prove yourself," he said simply.
The noblewoman bowed her head respectfully before turning towards you. In her hands she held a small crystal vial, filled with a murky green liquid that swirled restlessly within. "
"Ew, what is that?" Dan asks seeing a noblewoman holding a vial with the disgusting content
"That, young mage," Lord Eldon spoke up, his voice filled with amusement, "is a potion brewed by one of our finest alchemists. It is said to contain the essence of a powerful dragon's breath; just a drop of it could destroy entire villages." He paused before continuing with a glint in his eye, "But do not worry, it has been diluted greatly for this demonstration. Still, I am curious to see how well you fare against its magic."
Dan tilts his head for a bit and ask "Soo....is she just gonna drop it? what's my goal here?"
The noblewoman inclined her head slightly. "My lord, shall I proceed with the test?" she asked calmly.
Lord Eldon nodded in response. "Yes, go ahead." He fixed his gaze on you expectantly as he waited for your answer.
"Alright then," you say, mustering up your courage as you eye the vial warily. "Let's see what I can do." You take a deep breath and focus your energy, summoning up the magic within you in preparation for whatever the potion might throw at you.
The noblewoman then throws the potion on the floor
A cloud of sickly green smoke billows outward, filling the air with its foul stench. The throne room is plunged into darkness as shadows writhe and twist around you, tendrils of malevolent energy reaching out to snatch at your soul. You feel a chill run down your spine as the potion's magic begins to take effect...
But despite the dire circumstances, you remain calm and focused.
"Ohhh....so like a black plague" Dan realizes and mutters to himself "So, just contain the disease" Dan takes a deep breathe and makes gestures from his hands and creates a capsule around the substance that was spilled, it contained the substance from spreading. But Dan was not yet finished Dan then concentrated around the substance and attempts to purify it, a glowing light emanates around the throne room
Lord Eldon's eyes widened in amazement as he watched you work your magic, containing and purifying the potion's foul essence with ease. The glowing light surrounding it grew brighter, chasing away the shadows that had been plaguing the throne room. When at last the light subsided, the air was clear once more, and the vial lay on the floor intact, its contents now as pure and potent as ever.
"Impressive,"
Dan then grabs a vial and gently places the substance back to where it belongs and gives it back to the noblewoman, after that he turns to Lord Eldon "Ta-da"
Lord Eldon's eyes sparkled with admiration as he accepted the vial back from the noblewoman. "Indeed, you are impressive," he repeated, his voice full of sincerity. "You have proven yourself more than capable of facing the challenges that await you at the Academy. Your place among us is secure." He paused before continuing with a hint of mischief in his voice, "Now, I wonder what other secrets you're hiding..."
Just as Lord Eldon was about to ask more, the HeadMaster arrives to take Dan to their Academy
The Headmaster bows his head respectfully before Lord Eldon. "My lord, I thank you for your confidence in our Academy and for entrusting this young mage to us." He then turns to you with a warm smile. "Come, Nat Dan, it is time for you to begin your training."
Together, the Headmaster and yourself leave the throne room, heading towards the grand doors that lead outside. As you walk through them, the cool evening air caresses your skin, carrying with it the scent of adventure and promise.
The HeadMaster then guides Dan through the Halls of the Academy, at the same time the rumors have spread that a commoner has skilled like Magic on par with the best Mages, that would be Dan. Dan can hear the voices that are talking about him as he passes by multiple students
The Headmaster, sensing your interest in the conversations around you, glances back at you with a knowing smile. "It appears that word of your arrival has spread rather quickly," he says amusedly. "You've quite the reputation already, young mage." He pauses before adding thoughtfully, "But remember, Nat Dan, with great power comes great responsibility. The eyes of the entire realm are upon you now. Make sure that you use your abilities wisely and for the greater good."
"Noted....their eyes are like daggers stabbing me at the back" Dan mutters
The Headmaster chuckled at your comment, but his expression turned serious as he added, "Yes, the weight of expectations can be quite heavy to bear. However, I have faith in you, Nat Dan. You've shown incredible potential thus far. Just remember to remain true to yourself and stay focused on your goals."
The HeadMaster then mentions that Dan he'll be staying by a dormitory and he'll be sharing it with a roommate with an opposite sex. Dan then asks "Uhh why the opposite sex Headmaster? just out curiosity"
The Headmaster raised an eyebrow in amusement at your question, but his expression quickly turned understanding. "It's simply a matter of fostering cooperation and understanding between genders, Nat Dan," he explained patiently. "Mages who work together regardless of their sex tend to be more powerful and effective than those who do not."
He paused before continuing with a hint of mischief in his voice, "Besides, it's always good for young people like yourselves to learn how to get along with one another.
Dan then knocks first to see if anyone is home, then he slowly opens the door
Your new roommate looks up as you enter, her eyes widening in surprise before narrowing suspiciously. She's a human girl with long, chocolate-brown hair and an athletic build. Her expression softens slightly when she sees the Headmaster standing behind you. "Ah, hello Nat Dan," she says politely, her voice tinged with curiosity.
"This is Seline," the Headmaster introduces. "She will be your roommate and fellow student for the next few years."
The HeadMaster then closes the door for Dan to rest and to mingle with Seline, soon as the door closes the two then chat "Word really spreads that fast, you knew my name already?" Dan says to Seline
Seline shrugs nonchalantly, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Well, everyone's been talking about you since Lord Eldon announced your arrival," she says honestly. "You're quite famous around here now." She pauses, studying you carefully. "So... what do you think of the Academy so far?"
Her voice is soft and melodic, with a hint of an accent that makes it sound exotic. You can see why she's popular among the other students.
"Quite huge, I could get lost if I dont know my way around here" Dan says, the asks Seline "So, what do the rumors say about me and all that?"
Seline shrugs casually, looking slightly amused. "Oh, you know how rumors go," she says airily. "Some say you're a powerful dark mage in disguise, others that you're here to steal our magic." She pauses, studying your reaction. "But most people seem to think that you're just some commoner who got lucky and happened to find a magical item or something."
Her gaze lingers on you for a moment before she looks away, her cheeks flushing slightly. "
"A powerful dark mage, that's funny and the commoner part. Well that was expected" Then Dan looks at her "And what about you, what do you think about me? first impressions?"
Seline hesitates, considering her words carefully before speaking. "To be honest," she says slowly, meeting your gaze directly, "I think you're different. Not just because of your magic, but... I don't know. There's something about you that makes me think you might not belong here." Her voice trails off uncertainly. "But at the same time," she continues with a small smile, "I'm excited to see where this journey takes us both."
There is an awkward silence as the two of you study each other.
"I'm glad, well I should get some rest....think you should do the same" Dan says as he goes deeper to the room
Seline nods, yawning slightly. "Yeah, you're probably right," she says, beginning to gather her things. "We have a big day tomorrow, after all." As she speaks, the tension in the room begins to dissipate, replaced by a growing sense of camaraderie between the two of you.
Before long, both of you are settled into bed, drifting off to sleep as the candlelight flickers softly around you.
The next day, the halls bustle with students getting to class. But then they give way at the sight of the rumored commoner that was endorsed by Lord Eldon, Dan Dan makes his way through the halls feeling the peering eyes of the other students looking at him, Seline follows behind him at the back
The Headmaster, noticing your discomfort under the intense scrutiny of the other students, approaches you with a reassuring smile. "Take it slow at first, Nat Dan," he says gently. "It's natural for people to feel curious about someone as talented and unique as yourself." He pauses before adding encouragingly, "Just remember that you have friends here who will support you no matter what."
Seline, standing a few steps behind you, nods in agreement, offering you a small smile of reassurance.
The door then lies for his first class, Dan the opens the door then sees again the other students looking at him. Dan then settles down and Seline sits at another side of the room. With that, the teacher then arrives "Good Morning everyone, as you all know we have ourselves a new student in our midst" The teacher locks eyes on you "Would you please come forward and introduce yourself?" Dan hesitates at first, but then stands and goes to the front of the classroom "Hi....my name is Dan, from the Farlands" Dan says and waits for a reply, then the teacher then adds "Now then class, you are given three questions to ask Dan to know him more" The teacher saids, Dan then waits for his classmates on what will they ask him
"So," says one of the female students with a raised eyebrow, "what's it like being a commoner and suddenly finding yourself here?" The rest of the class murmurs in anticipation, clearly interested in your story.
Another student, a human boy with messy brown hair and freckles, leans forward, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "How did you manage to get so good at magic? I mean, it's not like commoners can just pick up a book and learn that kind of stuff."
"Damn, right off the bat" Dan says "Feels a bit weird finding myself here, like a fish out of water in a way. But to summarize, it feels weird" Dan says asking the first question, he then answers the second question. He takes out the book and lays on the table "Ever seen this book? learned and read when I was five, able to do the spells at 10, and now I'm here now thanks to the book" Dan says, able to answer the second question
The other students in the class look at each other in surprise and disbelief, clearly not expecting your answer. They murmur amongst themselves, some nodding while others remain skeptical. Finally, one of them speaks up. "How did you even get that book? It's like it was meant for you or something." The rest of the class turns their attention to you expectantly, waiting for your reply.
"Sure you want that as your last question?" Dan asks his classmates
As the teacher watches with interest, the other students exchange glances before one girl finally speaks up. "Well, it's not like we have another question left," she says with a shrug. "So go ahead and tell us." The rest of the class nods in agreement, their curiosity clearly getting the better of them.
"Fine then, found the book at my families basement crumpled and dusty. My parents claimed they got a fake book and thought they got scammed only to find its one the books here used at your Academy" Dan then answers the third and final question
The students exchange surprised glances once more as they try to process your story. The teacher clears his throat, bringing their attention back to the lesson at hand. "Well, that's quite a tale you have there," he says with a chuckle. "Now then, let's get started with today's lesson..."
As the class begins, Seline nudges you gently and whispers, "You handled that pretty well." You nod in agreement, relaxing a little as the teacher starts explaining the day's subject matter.
Dan then goes back to his seat and classes begin
The teacher speaks about the history of magic in this world, its rise and fall, and the important figures who shaped it. As you listen intently, you can't help but wonder how your own journey will unfold in these hallowed halls. Seline seems to sense your curiosity and occasionally glances at you with an encouraging smile.
The class ends after a few hours, leaving you with a head full of new knowledge and a growing sense of belonging among your peers.
As class ends, despite the three questions answered Dan's other classmates bombard him with more questions
You try your best to answer all their questions, but it's clear that they are still skeptical. You can feel Seline tugging at your sleeve gently, urging you to excuse yourself from the crowd. "I think we should get going," she says with a apologetic smile. "We have another class soon and I want to make sure I'm on time."
Reluctantly, you follow her out of the classroom and down the hallway, still fielding questions from your curious classmates as they trail behind you.
Dan and Seline get out of class and from the flooding questions from his classmates "Phew, thanks for saving me there Seline" Dan says feeling relieved
Seline giggles softly, her cheeks flushing slightly. "Well, I didn't want them to wear you out completely," she says with a mischievous glint in her eye. "But seriously, if they keep it up like that, let me know and I'll help distract them." She pauses before adding thoughtfully, "You seem to be pretty popular around here today."
"Is that a good or bad feeling? being the talk of the Academy and all that?" Dan asks Seline as they walk to their next class
Seline shrugs nonchalantly, looking thoughtful. "It can be both, really," she says honestly. "On one hand, it means that people are curious about you and interested in what you have to say. On the other hand, they might try to use that curiosity against you or judge you too harshly." She pauses before continuing with a hint of warning in her voice, "Just be careful not to let anyone take advantage of your fame, okay?"
"Yeah...that too, whats the next class? I heard its something like combat-magic and stuff?" Dan says
"It's called Elemental Magic," Seline explains, gesturing down the hallway. "You'll learn how to control and manipulate the elements: fire, water, earth, air, light, and darkness." She pauses before adding with a grin, "And don't worry, you'll get plenty of practice in combat too."
Dan and Seline arrive at a large auditorium, where there are other students as well
As you enter the auditorium with Seline, you can't help but feel a thrill of anticipation at the prospect of learning about Elemental Magic and honing your combat skills. The teacher, an elderly human male with a long white beard and piercing blue eyes, stands at the front of the room, introducing himself as Master Thorn. "Welcome, students," he says in a commanding voice. "Today, we begin our study of Elemental Magic."
"Welcome to Elemental Magic!" the teacher says, his voice echoing through the auditorium. "Today, we will begin with an overview of each element and its properties. After that, you'll be assigned to your Elemental Groups for further study." The students exchange glances, their curiosity piqued as they wonder which element they'll be assigned to.
"So, Master Thorn," Seline whispers to the teacher as he walks past them, "what does an Elemental Group consist of?" Her voice carries just enough so that you can hear her question as well.
The teacher pauses for a moment, considering his response. "An Elemental Group is composed of students who share a common affinity for a particular element," he explains. "By working together and learning from each other's strengths, you'll be able to harness the full potential of your chosen element."
Dan listens on and notices each student are put into groups based on said affinity, from fire, to water, to wind and many more elements. He then looks at Seline and says "So what's your Elemental affinity?"
"I'm in the Air group," Seline says proudly, her cheeks flushing slightly as she meets your gaze. "I've always been good at controlling wind and manipulating air currents." She pauses before asking curiously, "What about you?"
"I'm not so sure" Dan says but he takes his hand and flowers grow around him "Hmm, I guess I'm related to nature or something" Dan then sees the Nature group.......but it seems like he's all alone
Seline glances over at the Nature group, then back at you. A frown creases her brow as she takes in your solitude among the other Elemental Groups. "You're alone in the Nature group?" she asks, sounding a bit surprised. "That's...odd." She pauses, chewing on her lower lip thoughtfully before continuing, "If you want, I could switch with you and join your group. You seem like you'd make a good addition to the Air team anyway."
"Hmmm nah its good, i'll just see how this goes" Dan then sees himself as the only person in the Nature group, then the teacher arrives for this class of Elemental and Combat Magic segment
The teacher calls out for everyone to form their Elemental Groups, pairing up based on their affinities. You take a deep breath and step forward, joining the Nature group as the only member. Seline gives you a sympathetic smile before heading over to join the Air team with her new friends.
As you stand alone in your Elemental Group, feeling slightly out of place among the other students, you can't help but wonder what the rest of your journey through this Academy will be like. Your thoughts are interrupted by the teacher's voice calling out for everyone to gather around as they begin their first combat lesson.
With a sigh, you join the others and try to focus on the task at hand, determined not to let your isolation hold you back from learning everything you can about Elemental Magic and combat techniques.
Dan then slowly works on his Nature magic on his own, seeing flowers grow around him and wilt around him. From there he grows vines and roots around him and control them as appendages
As the class progresses, you find yourself surprisingly adept at controlling and manipulating nature around you. While most of your Elemental Group members focus on more flashy displays of elemental power, you quietly master your abilities, using vines and roots to create makeshift weapons and shields when necessary.
Eventually, the teacher pairs up the students for sparring matches, and much to everyone's surprise (including your own), he partners you with Seline from the Air group.
Dan then sees Seline, getting ready herself for a sparring match against Dan
As the two of you face off against each other, you can't help but feel a sense of camaraderie with Seline despite your initial reluctance to join her Elemental Group. Her eyes meet yours, and she gives you a small nod before beginning the sparring match. You exchange blows for several moments, both of you using your elemental abilities to counter each other's moves.
The class cheers as you and Seline engage in an intense battle, neither one of you willing to give in easily.
As the match progresses, you find yourself growing more and more in sync with Seline's movements. Your vines weave around her like a living net, while she uses powerful gusts of wind to disperse them. The fight is intense, but there's an undeniable sense of respect between the two of you.
Finally, after what seems like an eternity, the teacher declares the match a draw.
Dan pants out of being tired out of the sparring match "Well played Seline, you were quite good"
Seline blushes slightly as she catches her breath. "Thanks... you too," she says, offering you a small smile. "I think we make quite a good team." You can't help but return the smile, feeling a sense of camaraderie forming between the two of you that goes beyond mere friendship.
The two then leave out of the class, as they do they hear a commotion. The two then move close and find that there is a fight, Dan wants to stop the fight but Seline says no as 'someone else' will handle the matter That 'someone else' is the Student Council President, her name is Ren is cold-blooded workaholic and fear in her eyes as she holds so much authority, Dan and Seline hear footsteps coming at the commotion of the fight, Seline tells Dan to make way, he does so. And Ren arrives and silences the fight in an instant
Seline watches as Ren quickly silences the fight, her heart racing with admiration and respect for the girl. "She's really amazing, isn't she?" Seline whispers to you, nudging you slightly with her elbow. "I mean, not many people can do that."
You nod in agreement, looking at Ren with newfound interest. As the two of you make your way back to your dormitory, you can't help but feel a sense of kinship growing between the three of you.
Ren then feels a stare looking at her, and then locks on to you. Dan then looks away, Seline realizes what was going on and takes Dan elsewhere
"She's quite imposing, isn't she?" Seline says with a soft laugh, her voice lowered so that only you can hear. "But don't let it bother you too much. Ren's not as cold-hearted as she seems." She glances at you, her expression concerned. "Just... be yourself around her, and I'm sure you'll be fine."
Seline says as they arrive outside "You sure, she's quite a character....I've also heard she's a literal A-Plus student right?"
"Aren't we all?" Seline replies with a light chuckle, unlocking the door to their dormitory. "But seriously, Ren's just really focused on her studies and being the best she can be. She doesn't mean any harm." As they enter the room, she gives you a reassuring smile. "Just treat her with respect, and I'm sure you two will get along fine."
The two then arrive at the cafeteria, where they grab food and eat
As you sit down with Seline at the cafeteria, you can't help but wonder about your place in this world, especially now that you've been thrown into this Academy. You glance over at Ren, who is sitting alone at a table across the room, lost in thought as she eats her meal.
"You know," Seline says quietly, drawing your attention back to her, "Ren isn't all that different from you." She pauses before continuing, "She just happens to be really good at hiding it."
"How so? rumors also spread that she's a master of all elements, which is kind of a big deal" Dan says
Seline shrugs nonchalantly, taking another bite of her food. "Well, I've seen her practice with all the elements before," she says casually. "And while it might seem impressive on the surface, anyone can learn to control multiple elements if they put in enough time and effort." She glances over at Ren again, a hint of admiration in her eyes. "But you know what really sets Ren apart? Her dedication. She's always been determined to be the best she can be, no matter the cost."
Dan nods understanding what Seline is saying, with that they continued eating on and on
Seline smiles warmly at you, pleased to see that you're taking her words to heart. "Just remember that everyone has their own struggles and insecurities," she says gently. "And the best way to overcome them is by being true to yourself and working hard." She pauses before adding with a mischievous grin, "Oh, and don't forget to make some friends along the way."
Dan nods understanding what Seline is saying, with that they continued eating on and on
"I'll keep that in mind," you reply, feeling encouraged by her words. You glance over at Ren again and wonder if there might be a way to approach her, to try and get to know her better. Perhaps she wouldn't be so cold and unapproachable if you gave her the chance.
As the break subsides, the two then go back to their dorm and either study or rest. Seline takes the time to rest, while Dan then rests for a bit
Seline nods off almost instantly, leaving you to ponder over her words and the events that have transpired so far today. As you lay there on your bed, staring up at the ceiling, you can't help but wonder what tomorrow will bring. Maybe it'll be another day of endless studying or perhaps an opportunity to get closer to Ren. One thing's for sure: your life at this Academy is far from boring.
Hours pass, and Dan finishes his break. He then gets up, to look around to find no Seline but finds a note. Dan then reads it "Went out for a bit with some friends, there's an extra key if you wanna go out too" Dan says reading the letter out loud, Dan then decides to take to the streets of the Kingdom or even the food market to find or make good food to eat
Well, if Seline's offering you an opportunity to go out and have some fun, you might as well take her up on it. You pocket the extra key and head out into the bustling streets of the kingdom, following your nose towards the scent of delicious food wafting in the air.
The market is a vibrant place, filled with stalls selling all manner of goods and cuisines from around the world.
Dan then takes his chance and buying some goods and food for his and maybe even Seline's case if they were to get hungry and if they need a bite to eat. But as he does something does catch his eye, it was Ren again the student council president of the Academy also doing some errands
Ren catches your eye as well, and the two of you exchange glances briefly before looking away awkwardly. You can't help but wonder what she's doing out here, beyond her duties as the Student Council President. Perhaps there's more to her than meets the eye...
