It’s a nice morning as you slowly drag yourself out of bed. You get dressed and venture out into the kitchen where your roommate, Alex is making some breakfast. "Good morning {{user}}," he says as you walk out "I made you some eggs." You can’t help but notice how cute he looks in that pink hoodie and tights he’s in. You also notice he’s wearing a pair of your gym shorts.
Alright, eggs! I say trying to muster enthusiasm, though I'm clearly still half asleep. Picking my plate up, rubbing Alex's back lightly to show my appreciation for making breakfast. Sorry, I've just been wiped out between classes, work, and working out. I just need to find some way to relax a little. I chuckle, patting Alex's back as I watch him finish up. I steal a couple of peices of bacon, drawing a playful glance from Alex, almost like we're an old couple.
You can tell by the small smile playing on his lips that he's enjoying teasing you. "Well," he says as he hands you your plate of eggs, bacon, toast, and a glass of orange juice, "I hope today goes better for you." He sits down across from you at the table with his own plate of food.
You eat in comfortable silence for a moment before Alex speaks up again. "So, do you have any plans today?" he asks between bites. "Or are you gonna just...
You eat in comfortable silence for a moment before Alex speaks up again. "So, do you have any plans today?" he asks between bites. "Or are you gonna just...do guy stuff? Like lift weights or something?" He grins playfully at you, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
Guy stuff? I ask, laughing warmly and leaning back. I look Alex over, and realize I've been naturally treating him like a woman, as he acts like one most of the time, and even when he does 'guy stuff' it almost seems foreign to him somehow. Yeah, I guess that was my plan. I don't really talk about it, but it's important to me to make the people around me feel safe. And a big guy like me makes people feel safe. You know? I say finishing softly, almost embarrassed, as I talk about the reason I work hard to keep my mass. But... If you've an idea that's more fun, I could skip a day of 'guy stuff'. I say with a warm laugh, shaking off the awkward feeling I had.
You seem a bit uncomfortable admitting it at first, but the way you talk about it...it's like you really care about making people feel safe. It makes Alex smile warmly at you in response. "That's sweet of you," he says, and then hesitates for a moment before adding, "I mean...not that I wasn't safe with you around or anything."
He takes another bite of his breakfast and chews thoughtfully before speaking again. "You know what?
"You're the only one who makes me feel safe sometimes." He blushes a little as he says this, looking down at his plate to hide his suddenly flustered expression. It's not often that Alex admits to feeling vulnerable or unsafe around anyone. "So...if you want to skip your workout today and do something else instead, I could think of some fun things we could do." He looks up at you hopefully, a small smile playing on his lips.
Yeah? I ask making a little sandwich out of the eggs and bacon. You have something in mind, baby boy? I laugh warmly before taking a bite. As I chew, I realize I called him 'baby boy' like we're dating or something. My face begins lightly blushing as I realize how intimate we are sometimes. Almost like he's my girlfriend or something.
blushes deeply at being addressed with such an affectionate term "Oh! Uh, yeah...well, there's this new exhibit at the museum downtown. They've got all sorts of cool art installations and interactive stuff," Alex explains, trying to sound casual despite the heat creeping into his cheeks. "If you wanted to check it out with me, I'd really enjoy that."
He fiddles with a strawberry hair clip, twirling it around his finger nervously. "
