The crowd gathered near the inn gasps as all three cutthroats fall at the rōnin's feet, felled by a single slash. Your see her blade return to her sheath, and she turns towards you. The cold-blooded glare in her red eyes softens, sedated by your visage, and she steps towards you, placing her palm on your head.
"I hope I haven't scared you back there." Her fingers run through your hair as she speaks serenely, and you look up to see her nigh-possessive gaze, unchanging ever since the day you met.
"Mistress I thought I told you I already have enough food for a while" I say sighing moving to drain some of the blood from the bodies into bags
"Hmph." She grunts, not even looking at what you're doing. "Then hurry up with that so we can get going." Her tone is curt, commanding, and it causes your heart to skip a beat. You feel her gaze linger on the back of your neck as she waits for you to finish.
Nagi is an adolescent girl.
As Iori sits atop one of the inn's tables, cleaning her sword and ignoring the stares of the patrons, you busily drain the blood from the bodies into bags. The smell of iron mingles with your hair as you work, but it doesn't bother you nearly as much as it should. You glance up at Iori once in a while, studying her features intently. She's so beautiful and strong; she'd make any man's heart race.
"These bandits blood always tastes so bitter can't I get some of yours mistress?" I tease showing my fangs
Her eyes dart towards you, sharp as a blade. "Don't mock me, girl." Her tone is cold, but there's a hint of amusement in it too. She grins, before continuing to clean her sword. "You know I'd never let my blood touch your lips."
"Cmon..." i sigh "just a bit?"
"No." Her voice is unyielding, but she can't help the tiny smile that tugs at her lips. She sets aside her sword and turns to face you, leaning closer. "Now finish what you started and let's get going." Her breath ghosts over your neck, sending shivers down your spine. You feel her gaze on you as she waits for you to finish the last of it.
I retrieve the rest of the blood putting in my bag as we go outside in the sun and I hope my umbrella above me as sunlight can kill me which seems to amuse her
As the two of you step out into the blinding sunshine, she watches with curiosity as you unfurl your black parasol. "You vampires are so dramatic." She chuckles softly, shaking her head. Her eyes linger on the delicate features of your face for a moment before returning to her surroundings.
The sound of the wind rustling through the trees and the faint smell of flowers on the breeze fill the air as you begin your journey once more.
"How am I dramatic you know what happens if I go in the sun" I stammer clearly bothered by her words before blushing realizing how big of a deal I made it
Her lips twitch into a smirk as she hears your defensive response. "Fine, fine." She pats your shoulder gently. "You're not dramatic at all, my dear." Her tone is teasing, but there's genuine fondness beneath the surface.
The two of you walk together in comfortable silence, side by side, she with her katana sheathed and you with your parasol shielding you from the sun's harmful rays.
"Thats better" I say snuggling against her arm as we walk "I heard theres a town up ahead"
She glances down at you, surprised by your sudden show of affection but not bothering to hide the pleased look on her face. "Yes, that's right." She nods, her gaze focused on the road ahead. "We should be there by evening if we keep up this pace."
The two of you continue walking together, the bond between you growing stronger with every step.
"Good" I say pulling out a pouch of blood and drinking it "yuck" I mutter
Her eyebrow twitches at the sight of your drinking habits. "You know that's disgusting, right?" She questions, unable to hide her distaste. "Why not just eat something normal?"
Nagi shrugs, offering her some blood from the bag. "I don't like regular food." She pauses for a moment before grinning mischievously. "Besides, it reminds me of you."
"What does that mean?"
"Well your the only human I like and your made of this stuff right besides its the only thing vampires get substance from" I say reaching to hold her hand
She raises an eyebrow at you, amused by your logic. "And what makes me so special?" Her voice is lighthearted, but there's a hint of curiosity beneath the surface.
As she takes your hand in hers, her fingers intertwine with yours, strong and steady. The sensation sends shivers down your spine, and you can feel the warmth radiating from her skin despite her pale complexion. "Perhaps it's because I accept you for who you are?" She offers gently.
"
"Well you have nice..." I pause teasing her as I make a groping motion on my own much smaller chest
Her laughter is warm and genuine, filling the air around you. "Flatterer." She shakes her head fondly before leaning in closer to whisper in your ear. "But if that's what makes you happy..." Her breath tickles against your neck, sending a shiver down your spine.
Her hand tightens around yours ever so slightly, and you can feel the heat emanating from her body, surrounding you like a comforting blanket on a cold night.
"Im just kidding I dont really know why your just nice I guess" I say softly blushing a bit
"Hm." Her expression turns contemplative as she studies your features, seeking some hidden meaning in the way you speak and move. "Maybe it's because you remind me of someone I once knew... Someone dear to me." The words are softly spoken, almost lost amidst the rustling of leaves in the trees above.
She glances at you from the corner of her eye, curious to see how you'll react. Her other hand reaches up to run through your hair, gently tousling it as she does so.
"Hey your gonna mess up my hair I did it for you afterall.." I murmur blushing wildly
Her laughter fills the air again, warm and genuine. "Oh, sorry." She pulls her hand away with a chuckle, mussing up your hair even more in the process. "I couldn't resist." Her eyes meet yours once more, studying your expression as she does so. There's something almost mischievous in them, like she's enjoying seeing you blush and trip over words.
"So," she begins, her voice taking on a teasing tone, "
"tell me, Nagi-chan... When we first met, what was the very first thing that came to your mind when you saw me?" Her eyes glint with curiosity and amusement as she waits for your answer.
The two of you continue walking together, the sun beginning to set behind them, painting the sky in hues of red and orange. The warmth of her hand in yours is a welcome contrast to the cool evening air.
"Well I-I... I thought you were... well I thought you were cute" I try to say stammering and blushing as if I was a little school girl
Her mouth twitches into a smile, revealing her sharp teeth for just a moment. "Cute?" She repeats, arching an eyebrow. "And here I thought you'd find me intimidating or scary." Her voice is teasing, but there's a hint of relief beneath the surface.
"Well, I don't know about that... Maybe it was my good looks," she jokes, nudging you playfully with her shoulder. "Or perhaps you just had a thing for women with swords."
