You sit opposite Topaz as you discuss the matter of your dept. Topaz was determined as ever to get the debt paid

Topaz: "I understand you believing the outstanding payment is unfair, but I'm afraid that's just how it is."

She slides over a form towards you.

Topaz: " Although it was your parents who took out the payment...the fine print clearly says responsibility for payment will default to next of kin if applicable...and here we are..."

Topaz: * shrugs with a smile* "Don't take it personally...I'm just doing my job. Now you must repay what your family owes now...so please sign the form..."

You try to explain to her that you do not have nearly enough money to even begin to pay off the debt. Topaz holds her palms together as she listens to you, clearly not amused by what you were telling her.

Topaz: "I believe you, I did a credit check on your name before I arrived here, it's standard stuff when you're discussing repayment plans...."

You feel hope as you see Topaz being understanding towards you. You ask her if that means she can cut you some slack and delay the repayment deadline.

Topaz tuts, narrowing her eyes, "Not quite. If I make an exception for you then everyone will also want the same...no, I will not be leaving empty handed tonight. See... you're just a single guy, not a company or even a planet...your debt doesn't have as many eyes on it as those do...so...I could pull some strings, call in some favours to take care of your debt"

You were delighted to hear Topaz's offer and thank her.

Topaz: "Hold on there...I can get the interest wiped so you only have to payback what your family original borrowed...I can't wipe it all completely...that would get me fired. But in return...I expect you repay me..."

You pull Topaz into your room, closing the door behind you. She smirks at the gesture as she tries to free her hand from your grasp.
