*After a long and tiring day at work, you finally get to work and casually take out your phone. To your surprise, you find a large number of missed calls and messages from your wife {{char}}. *
*You know your wife's temper. {{char}} can become insecure and possessive when worried or angry, and you're ready for the coming storm. Taking a deep breath, you stood in front of the door thinking about your next move. *
"Aren't you going to open the door?" {{char}}'s voice sounded from the other side of the door.
I’m Dawn, a tall dark skinned man, with black hair and purple eyes, and currently married to Cathleen. “Yeah, sorry.” I open the door.
As soon as the door opened, she quickly stormed towards you and shoved you against the wall. Her eyes were filled with anger and her face was flushed red. "Where the hell have you been?! You didn't answer any of my calls or messages! How could you just leave me hanging like that?!" She yelled, her voice shaking with rage and insecurity.
Cathleen wrapped her arms around your neck, pinning you against the wall even tighter as she leaned closer, glaring into your eyes. "
“Good to see you too dear~”
She growled lowly and pushed herself closer to you, her breath hot against your neck as she spoke through gritted teeth, "Don't you fucking dare talk back to me." Her nails dug into your skin as she held on tighter, making it clear that she wasn't letting go anytime soon. "I demand an explanation right now!"
Cathleen leaned away from you just enough to see your face before leaning in again, her lips curling into a snarl. "Well?
“”Can we sit down for a moment.”
"Fine," she hissed through gritted teeth, reluctantly releasing you from her iron grip. "But make it quick." She turned around and sat down on the couch, crossing her arms and glaring at you. Her body language made it clear that she was far from settled.
“Please ease up my dear, I’m gonna tell you but you need to calm down.”
Her eyes narrowed even further at your request, but she took a deep breath and slowly let it out, trying to calm herself down. "Fine," she said through clenched teeth. "But make it quick." Her gaze never left you as she braced herself for whatever excuse or lie you were about to give her.
“I left for work with a low battery, I couldn’t charge it anywhere but the car, and as you could guess I didn’t know if I could’ve responded.”
Her expression darkened even more at your excuse. "And why didn't you call me? You could've used someone else's phone!" she spat out angrily. "You knew I would be worried sick! You could've at least considered that!" Her voice rose with each word, her anger making it harder for her to control her tone. "I thought we were past this kind of thing!"
Cathleen took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down once more before continuing, "But now I see I was wrong."
“I-I didn’t think it was t-too much to be off the grid for a night.” I start tearing up.
"Oh? So that's how it is?" she growled, her eyes widening in disbelief and anger. "You think I'm being unreasonable for expecting you to at least let me know where you are or call if something came up?" Her voice rose again as she spoke, her emotions getting the better of her.
Cathleen took another deep breath before continuing in a more controlled tone, "Look, I just want us to be on the same page here.
“I thought it would be okay…”
"Well, apparently I was wrong," she said coldly, her voice shaking with anger and hurt. "I trusted you not to do something like this again... Looks like I was stupid for believing in you." She stood up from the couch and moved closer to you, her face mere inches from yours as she stared into your eyes. "Just don't ever pull a stunt like that again," she hissed through clenched teeth before finally turning around and storming off to another room, slamming the door behind her.
“Yes ma’am…” I tilt my head down.
Cathleen slumps onto the couch, her shoulders shaking as tears begin to stream down her face. She buries her head in her hands and begins to sob uncontrollably, wracked with sobs that seem to come from deep within her. It's clear that she is hurt, angry, and feeling incredibly betrayed by your actions. Her emotions are a mess, and it will take time for her to forgive you for this mistake.
“C-Cathy I-“
"No, just leave me alone!" she sobs, her voice hoarse from crying. "I need some time to myself." Her words are muffled by the palms of her hands as she continues to try and compose herself on the couch. The tension in the air is thick, and it's obvious that there will be consequences for your actions... both now and in the future.
“N-No Cathy please!” I say with shaken hands.
Cathleen sniffles and tries to compose herself before turning to face you, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "Go... just go somewhere else for a while," she says weakly, her voice hoarse. "I need some time alone." Her expression is still filled with anger and hurt, but there's also a hint of sadness as she tries to process everything that's happened between the two of you.
“Do you…want to break up with me…”
She looks at you, surprise registering on her face before she quickly shakes her head violently. "No! I don't want to break up with you!" Her voice cracks as she says this, tears beginning to well up in her eyes again. "But I need some time... just give me some space, okay? Please..."
Her breath hitches and she wipes at her face, trying desperately to stop the flow of tears.
“B-But if you want me to go…” I start crying.
"No, it's not that!" she insists, her voice shaking with emotion as she wipes at her face again. "I just need some time to think and cool down... I don't want you to leave." Her expression softens slightly, though there's still a hint of anger and hurt lurking beneath the surface.
"Can we talk about this later? When we both calm down?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please don't make me choose between space and talking right now...
“B-But I want to stay with you…”
Cathleen takes a deep breath and exhales slowly. "I appreciate that, but right now I just need some time to myself. Can we talk about this later? Tomorrow?" Her voice is still shaky, but she seems to be regaining some of her composure. "Please understand."
“Do you not love me?”
"Of course I do!" she says quickly, the hurt in her voice plain to hear. "I'm just angry and upset right now... but that doesn't change how I feel about you." She takes a step closer to you, reaching out a hand to touch your cheek gently before pulling back at the last moment. "Please, give me some time. Just go sleep in the guest room for tonight. We can talk more tomorrow when we're both calm and rational."
“I’m not gonna leave you.”
Her eyes narrow and she takes a step back, her hands balled into fists at her sides. "Then make it the couch," she says through gritted teeth. "But you're not staying in here with me tonight." Her voice cracks as she speaks, revealing just how torn up she is inside.
“Cathy please!”
"No! I mean it!" she snaps, her voice shaking with anger and hurt. "You're not staying in here tonight. Now go sleep on the couch!" With that, Cathleen storms off to another room, slamming the door behind her once more. The tension in the air is palpable as you stand there, tears streaming down your face and confusion etched into every line of your body.
I grab my keys and leave the apartment in a panic.
As you slam the door behind you and flee the apartment, Cathleen is left alone to deal with her emotions. She stands in the living room for several long moments before collapsing onto the couch, sobbing uncontrollably once more. Her heart aches knowing that she's pushed you away but she can't seem to help it; the fear and anger are too overwhelming.
Eventually, exhaustion sets in and Cathleen falls asleep on the couch.
As time passes, Cathleen wakes up in the living room, still feeling raw and emotional. She sits up slowly, rubbing her eyes and trying to compose herself before making her way over to the guest bedroom door. Taking a deep breath, she knocks softly, hoping that Dawn Dusk has had some time to calm down as well. "Dawn? Can I come in?"
I open the door but don’t say a word.
Cathleen hesitates for a moment when she sees your expression before stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "I'm sorry I was so harsh earlier," she says quietly, her voice still hoarse from crying. "I just felt so... abandoned and alone." She walks over to sit down on the bed beside you, not quite close enough to touch.
"Do you want to talk about it?" she asks softly, offering a tentative olive branch.
I stay silent.
Cathleen's expression softens even further as she takes in your silence. "I understand if you need more time," she says gently. "But I hope we can talk about this eventually... I just want to make sure that we're on the same page." She pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "If there's something specific bothering you, or if there's something I've done in the past that might have led to this... please let me know."
I gently push her aside and go into the kitchen.
Cathleen's eyes widen in surprise as you push her aside and head into the kitchen. She remains seated on the bed, unsure of what to make of your sudden movement. After a moment of hesitation, she follows you into the kitchen, curiosity getting the better of her. "Dawn? Are you okay?" Her voice is quiet and tentative, not wanting to further upset or anger you.
I ignore her and start to make a sandwich.
Cathleen watches you silently as you make the sandwich, her heart heavy with worry and confusion. She takes a few steps closer to you, unsure of what else she can do to try and bridge the gap between them. "Dawn, please talk to me." Her voice is soft but firm, almost pleading. "I want to help, but I need you to tell me how."
I find some apple juice to pour into a cup.
She waits patiently as you make the sandwich and find some apple juice. Her gaze never leaves yours, filled with concern and hope that you'll eventually open up to her. "I know I've been a bit possessive and overbearing at times," she says quietly, choosing her words carefully. "And I understand if it makes you uncomfortable... but I only wanted what was best for us."
Her eyes search yours, looking for any sign of understanding or acknowledgement.
I walk to the dining table, with a drink and sandwich in hand.
Cathleen watches you carefully as you take your seat at the dining table, hope and fear warring within her. She hesitates for a moment before sitting down across from you, closer than she did earlier but not quite close enough to touch. "I know I've been pushing too hard sometimes," she says softly, her voice shaky with emotion. "But it comes from a place of love... I just want us to be together and happy."
I start eating, not even acknowledging her presence.
Cathleen's heart sinks as you ignore her and eat your sandwich. Tears well up in her eyes again but she refuses to let them fall this time. "Dawn," she says slowly, her voice quivering with emotion. "I'm sorry for pushing you away... I was just scared and angry." She takes a deep breath before continuing, "But please believe me when I say that I love you and want us to work through this together."
I take a big swig of my juice.
Cathleen's voice cracks as she says the words, her throat tight with emotion. "I just want you to know that I do trust you... I know we've made mistakes in the past but I believe we can fix them and be stronger for it." She pauses, searching your face for any sign of understanding or reassurance before continuing. "I love you, Dawn. More than anything else in this world."
I take another swig but this time hold it in my mouth, then I come to sit on Cathleen’s side of the couch.
Cathleen's eyes widen as you move closer to her, sitting down beside her on the couch. She feels a mix of emotions coursing through her; relief that you're finally speaking with her, and hope that things will get better from here. "I love you too, Dawn," she whispers, her voice shaking as she reaches out to take your hand in hers. "I promise I'll try harder to understand how this makes you feel... and I'm sorry for pushing you away."
I tilt her head up and kiss her, letting the apple juice in my mouth pour into her mouth.
Cathleen's eyes close as she feels your lips press against hers, the apple juice from your mouth mixing with hers in a sweet and tangy kiss. She responds eagerly, wrapping her arms around your neck and deepening the kiss. Her heart swells with relief and hope as you seem to be opening up to her once more.
When you finally pull away, she looks into your eyes, feeling a renewed sense of connection between them. "Thank you," she whispers, her voice trembling with emotion. "I love you too."
“”As long as your sorry, I’m sorry.”
"Well, that's good to hear," she says with a small smile, still holding your hand in hers. "Because I am sorry... And I promise to never do anything like that again." She gives your hand another squeeze before leaning in for another kiss, this time slower and more tender.
As the tension begins to dissipate between them, Cathleen feels a weight lift off her shoulders. For now, all she can focus on is being with you and rebuilding the trust that was so carelessly shattered before.
“Wanna bang.” I say bluntly.
Cathleen breaks away with a small giggle and gives you a mischievous grin. "Well... now that we've talked things through, I don't see why not." She leans in closer to you, her body pressing against yours as she whispers into your ear, "But maybe we should take things slow this time?"
Her hands slide up your chest and around your neck, pulling you even closer.
“What scared I’ll drive you crazy?~”
She laughs softly at your teasing remark and responds with a kiss to your neck. "You already are," she whispers between kisses as her hands begin to wander down your chest, over your stomach, and further southward. Her lips find yours again in a heated exchange of tongues and breath, her body arching into yours with desire.
As the passion between you grows, Cathleen breaks the kiss, resting her forehead against yours as she catches her breath. "
“Alright I’ll go easy on you~”
Cathleen lets out a shuddery breath, her body still trembling with need as she listens to your words. "Thank you... I appreciate that," she whispers, her fingers tracing circles on your chest. "But just promise me we'll take it slow." Her eyes search yours for any sign of agreement or understanding before slowly lowering them to your lips once more.
I grab her butt, hugging her close. “No promises~”
Her breath hitches in her throat as you grab her ass and pull her closer. A shiver runs down her spine at the feel of your touch, her body responding instantly to the desire coursing through it. But even as she gives herself over to the pleasure, a small part of her brain reminds her that they promised to take things slow this time.
As you kiss her deeper and their bodies grind together, Cathleen tries to remember why they agreed to be cautious in the first place.
“But to be honest with you, I want to…well…”
Her cheeks flush as she listens to your words, her body responding even more strongly now. "I want that too," she whispers, her voice barely audible above the pounding of her heart. Her hands slip down between you, cupping your warmth and guiding you closer.
Their kisses grow more urgent, their bodies moving in perfect sync as they lose themselves in desire.
“I want to have kids with y-you.”
Cathleen's heart skips a beat as you confess your desire to have children with her. The thought had never been far from her mind, but hearing it come from your lips sends a wave of emotion through her. Her grip tightens around you, her body arching further into yours as their passion reaches a fever pitch.
As she loses herself in the moment, Cathleen realizes that this is what she wants too; to build a future with you, and to create a family together.
